You seemed a little upset there buddy. I didn't knock any of them just said they were bold, if that is an insult then my bad. I got mad respect for Meade County and John Hardin, they have some great wrestlers and coaching staff and hate that they have had the injuries/drama this year. I think you know it is going to be a fun region tournament with some great matchups. I will post my top 6 in awhile, with some of that mathematical math.

You are correct Someone got a little upset there Shady, take it easy bud. Like is it wrong for a fan to think his team should win, or to oppose someone who doesn't? This is all talk, wrestling will be the real deciding factor. Whatever happens, happens. As a fan I want to see some good wrestling. As you know duals don't decide a team tournament but if you wanna make excuses because teams don't have full rosters or whatever, that's your prerogative. Any coach will tell half the battle in Kentucky wrestling is filling a team, Meade does it well, LaRue does it well, Central Hardin does it well. That's why Meade and LaRue have been 1-2 the past 2 years. They fill a roster. And God forbid a wrestler has a win by forfeit, that goes for every team some weights are just hard to fill and find matches. Ultimately you can't control if a coach will put a guy on the mat or not. Also according to trackwrestling placement scoring is done out 6th place, so a true indicator would be top six not top four.

Some more bold predictions with some upsets in the works. Meade County must know something that everyone else doesn't. Haha

I am seeing alot of upsets here @wrastler_ I would be highly surprised if some of these happened.

Once again, thank you Ranger123 for giving us old men something to talk about. 120lbs is gonna fun to watch at state. Insko with a lot of big wins and getting hot at the right time. 138 should be fun if Johnson stays down there, (I don't know why he would with a state title for his taking at 145.) Bell from LaRue up at 160 for regions, think he should do well at state. Leak and Smallwood should be fun at regions, they have been wrestling each other since they were kids. Good to see Shantz from Meade get some recognition, he is a strong 182 and hopefully does well at state. Steven and Jett at 1-2 for regions. Jett had some statement wins and Steven just dominating all year. Zachariah Jones from Central Hardin is legit at 220 and should compete for a state title. Glad to see Region 2 getting some recognition, tough teams and tough kids in this area.

Oh come on, that's what these forums are for... Gossip and speculation are the name of the game. But I understand, it could all be fluff. I have heard some pretty big moves going on in LaRue County, one big name wrestler quit. Another is out for the season. Who knows though, like you said I didn't hear it from the horses mouth.

We're all shaking here in anticipation. What are the other teams involved?

X vs. Johnson Central is an interesting match up. X down low is beastly, JC up top could prove to be the difference. Too close to call for me. I am salivating at a Woodford vs. Simon Kenton Matchup. Cornett vs. Andreoni... I would love to see it.

I wish I could sit in the stands and watch this unfold, a lot of good wrestling going to happen at State Duals. I am predicting a St. Xavier vs. Johnson Central on the top side and Simon Kenton vs. Woodford on the bottom. I wouldn't be surprised to see Madison Central come out of that pool either. I have St. X vs. Simon Kenton with Simon Kenton coming out on top...

I know it looks like John Hardin got the stick on this, but that's the way it's always been done. Since they started this tournament only #1 out of regions/sectionals have been seeded then #2 cross bracketed and randomly drew into pools. That was the case with Oldham/Woodford last year and they met in the finals.

Oh I know, just throwing my 2 cents out there from an educated spectator. These fellas do a good job, they're always asking for more information to make the rankings more accurate. I expect after state duals things will really be interesting.

A few thoughts from the Capital City Classic, Mattingly from Apollo is a top 3 kid in the state at 106lbs. Miller has been looking really good at 113lbs. Insko at 120lbs with wins over Roth and a few others should be higher. Moore and Castellano are both studs. Mason Smith is a man... Bratcher put a fight against Cornett, he should do well at state. Simon Kenton is a very underrated team and should be a top 3 school IMO. Walton Verona looked good and LaRue County and Madison Central all had very well rounded teams. Rankings looked about right, #4 WV, #6 MC, #8 SK, #10 LC teams finished 2nd WV, 3rd MC, 1st SK, 4th LC respectively. Region 6 is going to be a battle up North.

Well what fun are you? I tell you what, Apollo had a few guys drop this weekend and looked good. Mattingly to 106 looks to be tough. A returning state placer and handles a highly ranked kid in the finals at Capital City Classic. Insko with a significant win over Roth from Walton Verona. 120 should be ridiculous in this region. I heard some things as well, would be curious to hear what you did. I know Trent Johnson has been light, is going to make the drop to 138?
