  1. FYI We have a contract with our venue for MS state duals as well. Not to mention other expenses to host it laid out. And before we start talking about moving it, I have already tried, with no luck. It is booked for the next several weekends.

  2. Union County will be hosting the 3rd annual Battle of the Brave on Dec 19th 2015. We are compiling a list of teams to be added to this tournament. We currently have teams from Indiana, Tennessee, & Kentucky. I will add a flyer soon along with a list of teams. this is one of the top tournaments in Kentucky, very competitive. If you would like to be added to this event, please contact Jason Brown or me so we can get you on the list. We will add individual entries and will review and accept based on credentials.

  4. There is no agenda attached! I think the entire state needs to know what is on the agenda and what is being voted on!

The Fall KSWA meeting will be on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at St. Xavier High School in Louisville KY.  Start time is 1pm.  Attached is the Agenda for the meeting.  It is very important that each team attend as we have some very important items being voted on.

    Address is:

    1609 Poplar Level Road

    Louisville KY 40217

  5. We are having our final training camp for Fargo at Carr Wrestling Academy Saturday July 18th and Sunday July 19th. This is a chance to learn and train Freestyle with the best Freestyle coaches our state has!! The Carr Family has been very successful in National and International Competition! If you would like to go to Fargo in the future, or just want to add to your folkstyle arsenal, come and workout. Our team needs more partners to train with to help them prepare for this years tournament. Training and wrestling freestyle gives you a huge advantage on the folkstyle mat!!

    I have attached the flyer

  6. We will ad a flier and a link to register as soon as they're complete.

Eligibility requirements will be two/2 tournaments in the styles that you will be wrestling in Fargo. These tournaments must be traceable by trackwrestling or some other confirmable means. Or be a regional qualifier. There is a list of regional tournaments @ www.themat.com under events.

Central Regional is May 15th - 17th at  Lawrence North High School 7802 Hague Rd. Indianapolis, Ind.

UWW Cadet Nationals is strongly recommended! All  Cadets and all first year Juniors are eligible. It is in Akron Ohio May 28th-31st This tournament is heavily attended by college coaches. University Nationals is going on at the same time on the same mats that you will be wrestling on. This tournament qualifies you for the world team. I will also add that placement at this tournament and Fargo qualifies you for free training at the Olympic training center by world team coaches and next to world team members.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. More info will follow.

  7. Trae lost in the first round to Dean Heil. A nationally  ranked wrestler. He then beat Mike Morales.  A nationally ranked wrestler! Trae is one of only 4 (I think) Kentucky wrestlers starting in D1 this season, and 1 of only 2 true freshman starting D1 this season. And Trae is all by him self when it comes to those that place at his conference tournament, beating a nationally ranked wrestler. Regardless of conference size!! Its an accomplishment!! Congrats to Trae!
