USA freestyle/greco kids nationals are held at Wisconsin Dells July 6th - 8th. For those of you who did not qualify thru Central Regionals and wish to apply for a state waiver, please submit a 1 page request stating your name, age, weight class desired, freestyle/greco tournaments wrestled in, and reason you were unable to qualify. These need to be submitted by June 20th to ky.nationalteams@gmail.com The sooner you request the better.

Fargo is just around the corner. Sorry this is late. Every Cadet and Junior is eligible to wrestle in Fargo. Up to 4 per weight class, per age group not including regional qualifiers (top 4 at any regional plus UWW national placers). Funding by KY/USA wrestling is available. You will be required to wrestle at the Freestyle/Greco State tournament May 7th at Campbell County High school(flyer attached), and at Central Regionals in Kalamazoo, Michigan(info below) in the style you wish to wrestle in Fargo to eligible for funding. You can register on track wrestling for both. Wings Event Center 3600 Vanrick Drive Kalamazoo, Michigan 49001 May 20-22, 2016 Funding will be entry fees and housing/meals only. You will be responsible for your own transportation and singlets and team camp fees. Team singlets are required by USA wrestling. Full gear packages are also available. Cadets - birth years 2000/2001 Junior - Born 9/1/1996 & after plus enrolled in grades 9-12 You are only able to register for this tournament through KY/USA wrestling. Registration deadline is June 1st. All arrangements and fees for the tournament will be due by then. Camps are still in the process of being arranged. Just want to let everyone know that we are working on Team Kentucky Now and will soon have practice dates and locations, qualification and challenge information out to everyone. Just so everyone is aware, there will be a challenge process in effect that will allow those middle school wrestlers that chose to wrestle for there high school teams and forgo middle school state, to challenge for a spot. As of today I have 19 wrestlers. We have wrestle offs at 110/1 117/2 & 132/2. We have no one slated for 90, 95, 160, & 220. Are also missing 140 or 150 Have 1 wrestler slated once he decides which weight. We have 7 State Champs And 2 Runners up. We need our Champs if we are going to compete at a high level. I have tried to centralize practices to try to get the Eastern KY kids, but still don't have any that are any distance east of Lexington. We really feel like we can wrestle to the Gold pool But we need our best to do it. Come on out guys, I promise it will be an experience you wont soon forget!!

First, Thank You for your patience. I am attaching a petition form to make it easier to keep track of who is planning to wrestle off, and who makes the teams. I will also send a copy to the committee so they are aware and can give their input. Remember, our goal is to put the very best 2 teams on the mat at Nationals! Due to State Duals being scheduled for Feb 27th the practice schedule will be changed to having the first practice the following weekend March 5th. at Central Hardin High School in Cecilia, Ky. @ KWOA Spring Classic. Wrestle offs will be officiated by KWOA officials. I would like for everyone to wrestle in this tournament to support our officials. I will post more info tonigh. Practice locations and petition information. We will be putting the very best 2 teams on the mat that we can. We will try to hold practices as close to central for everyone as we can. Hopefully this will help to get all of our best to attend.

I am not coaching the youth team. However, I will do everything I can to help get it organized.
