5 match rule should only happen if there is more than 10 in a wt. class.  The bracket can be set up to where there would be no chance of 5 matches if there is 10 wrestlers. You have to make sure certain lines are byes.

have 11 at 132 and 152. 10 at 113, but the way it is set up, the 3 and 4 seed have first round matches. if they win that and lose in the quarterfinals, and keep winning in the consis, their 5th match will be the consi-semis.

  2. Each region has 56 qualifiers

    Region 1: 126 (11 teams)
    Region 2: 142 (16 teams)
    Region 3: 110 (12 teams)
    Region 4: 86 (9 teams, 2 teams with 0 kids)
    Region 5: 128 (11 teams)
    Region 6: 139 (12 teams)
    Region 7: 179 (17 teams)
    Region 8: Not released

Looks like realignment needs to take place. Several kids in region 4 have already qualified without stepping on the mat. Region 7 has 179 kids and 17 teams alone!

Well shoot, there goes another one of your Johnson County conspiracy theories down the drain. You were wanting something to get stirred up about Johnson County so bad that you didn’t even watch the entire video, nor did you have all the facts, but yet you still put your spin on it hoping it would draw attention. I bet  you’re also a big Adam Schiff fan.

Glad to know I live in your head rent free. You must be a joy to be around. Look forward to running into you at state next weekend.

So I was the PA guy and what you heard was me casting my vote and Damien Leavelll, the board president, was handing out awards and he is not JC he is Christian County. So now a little background on something that I did not agree on, someone decided that the Board would vote for the MOW so when the board voted I believe 4 or 5 of the 6 voted for Logan Castle. As I was trying to expedite getting medals handed out when we got toward the end I inquired about the MOW. So, I'm not sure if this was put out in the coaches meeting that morning and if it wasn't that was wrong also, but if it was done the traditional way we have always done it I would of still voted for Logan Castle.

I stand corrected. I never finished watching the whole video and you could see Leavell handing out the award. All I saw was the one guy saying Logan, who was very much deserving. He must've been on the board and was casting his vote.

I did. I was standing there and have seen the video.

"Who should be MOW?" - P.A. guy
"So, I, I would say Logan cause we've got (can't understand the rest of the dialogue in the video)." - Board member

    That was the vote.

I think we have 363 days to hear it and get it right for next year.  Please do share!

    Edited to correct the facts.

We have our kids in the Catholic school system which looks like we would need to be up north near Louisville area because Lexington High doesn't have a wrestling team . . . . any recommendations up there?

Trinity, St. X, Desales (Catholic?) are in the Louisville area. Union County has a Catholic school pre-k through 8th grade and middle school aged kids wrestle for the UC middle school club, but no catholic high school in the county.
