Stephen Little. Runner up as a freshman to Zane Brown @ 160lbs. 2x state champ going for his third. Won many USAW preseason nationals so far out in Iowa (if I remember correctly). Ironman Placer (5th) losing two different overtime matches to top 10 nationally ranked guys. Beat Indiana state champ who is nationally ranked this year, where the Mater Dei kid pinned his way thru a state title. His resume is stout.

Mark Hall, David Carr. Do they count?
Bryce Sheffer. Joe Carr.

The kid he beat in the Mater Dei final, Sollars, just pinned his way through a tough Indiana state tournament. His only loses were to nationally ranked wrestlers at the Ironman. IMHO he is unbeatable in Kentucky. He will be on the mat less time than either Raney.
He appeared to get penalized for unnecessary roughness on an knee pick yesterday. It was just his shear strength and power of a violent knee pick that made it looked rough. Nothing illegal about it.

What an absurd statement

I hope he’s okay. Hurts to see a kid ranked that high injury default out.

Does the other semi state get the additional pound?

go across the state,or go out of state and find the top guys.if you start winning some of those big matches then trust me Ranger will notice.
Parents tell your coaches and coaches tell your AD that you want to see the top kids.
the only way to rank up is by head to head matchups .you can’t hide behind local wins and forfeits .we had a 33-1 kid in our region who barely got 4th ,my point is records mean nothing you have to seek out the best competition.
Exactly. Henderson should schedule Union in a dual. They are rivals at all of the other sports and compete (except football). Right next door to Evansville, go see some of the tougher teams in Indiana. 3+ duals against the same teams every other weekend won't cut it.

Wait until the Ranger Report comes out, he has historical data in it that will give you an idea on how close he has been in the past. Upsets happen every year, and no one has ever been perfect on these predictions. March Madness hasn't had a perfect bracket predicted ever out of millions.

For the record based on the results I have looked at today, the Daviess kid is way too high. But like you said, it is all decided on the mat.
Team scores are 100% based on individual rankings. As much as people want to believe I have some extreme bias again teams with the HCHS abbreviation, I don't even touch that. It is a simple calculation.
I better go check on Henry Clay... Or was it your "hatred" of Harrison County? Maybe Henderson County too.

Find that hard to believe.

By the time state rolls around, there are several head to heads for most people. Especially after the regional tournament. Yeah, some teams dodge tough competition the whole year and have absurd records, but those kids will get weeded out after regionals.

Not in this state. Mark Hall (Ryle) was runner up to Bradbury (Trinity) which was the closest any 7th grader has got to winning High School state until Jordyn Raney last year.

MS allowed grades are 4th-8th. High school is 7th-12th. HS doesn't allow a held back 6th grader to compete as well. Those are the strict grade requirements.

#17 is Caden Rodriguez....As you can see, that is not who Malachi wrestled from Meade Co. Rodriguez bumped up to 175 for that dual.

Latest Lindsey Wilson 285 commit - 6th at regionals (Region 1)

Unless you’re in Indiana and it means quarter. They have 4 semi states. Top 4 make state for a 16 man bracket. Their post season is jacked up. Sectionals, regionals, semi state, state. No wrestlebacks. Make the semifinals of any of those tournaments you automatically advance to next round.
