How many times in the past few years has Larue been picked to win state and end up having a few wrestlers choke? Overrated when it comes to padding win-loss records in that region. Larue used to go to Mater Dei but dropped out. I'd like to see them compete in it still. It's no surprise they peak early, a la state duals where they usually win but struggle at a few key positions at the real state tournament. Not trying to say they aren't a good team. Year end they are consistent, and year end it seems they underachieve when it comes to their rankings. Just my opinion, and everyone has one.

That is terrible news. Brad was the last person to beat Timothy McKenney before he passed away two years ago. They wrestled in the semifinals when Tim was a sophomore. Prayers go out to his family and the SC community from Union County.

I doubt anyone knows their lineups yet at this point. BTW, getting my reffing license and will be back in Western KY working some matches after graduating from UK in December. Take it easy on me guys!

If im not mistaken, woodford did significantly well last year or the year before even though they werent supposed to be "all that good." Kind of weird talking about woodford over achieving. They are at the top of the pedestal when it comes to KY wrestling.

so is there going to be a contender to unions run of 8 straight regional championships this year in western ky? I wonder how ohio stacks up with their lineup. it might be close for once!

Former Paducah Tilghmann star wrestler Bryan Hall has officially made the cuts for the Baltimore Ravens roster. If i remember correctly he was a state runner up at heavyweight in 2007.
