It shouldn't be a burden if it has no bearing on team scores whatsoever at all. I like the idea. Some of the small schools have trouble filling lineups, but that is usually in the upper weights.

Yeah dosscoach, once that one hand (or most cases both hands) make full pressure and stay contacted that is two, even if the wrestler in defensive position raises their hands back up. And I will have to watch the video again. I only saw it once, but from what I remember, there "seemed" to be no loss of control at all. I can only say seemed because I saw the match on video. But anyways, it doesn't matter now. I challenge more people to become refs though. It's my first year doing it, and I enjoy it very much.

Yeah that was petty and ignorant! But I will say that mater dei holiday classic is up there in quality of some of those Ohio tourneys. That's probably the only one. Trinity can attest to this. Larue used to go to It but Im not sure why they dropped out. Maybe they took too many whoopens ha (joke).

Saw a video of the finals match between Agnew (caldwell) and Polley (Christian). What a joke. First there was no escape that should have been given with 4 second left when Agnew still had full control. Second, that take down Polley got in the next 4 seconds should not have been awarded. I have no dog in this fight but he got screwed out of a win and a potential regional seed spot because of that.

They should give the option for small schools to wrestle in the large school division. I thought the split was at 1000 students.

I'd say he probably should know a lot.

Apparently they have other wrestlers on the team as well! Good thing it's decided on the mat and not on the internet.. BTW, I'm sure others have said this before but it's 'Ervin' not 'Irvin'.

I'm sorry you're confused, but it would help if you could read "Any more questions, send me a private message and I will be sure to figure things out for you". Makes me wondering if this thread is an attempt to belittle Coach Walls, which is very classless. If you are trying to say he doesn't deserve this recognition that is your opinion, but he has earned his accolades over the past 30+ years without transplants. This award is through NFHS and the state nominates you if you have the qualifications one of which being that you have coached for at least 25 years. Once again if you have any questions you can send me a private message or post on here about how you are confused.

What about championship individual matches between uc and larue.

Congrats to both larue and union. First time they have won this. Can someone give a rundown on the finals matches? I was reffing in Murray today.

Being his family who did post something on Facebook about this let me clear up some things. I asked him today on how he can receive this and he said once you win it once, you are nominated again. It's based more on past achievements really and he told me that most of the people who win the overall award (not just the regional award) are retired in the recent years. It's not just wrestling coach of the year.

No one gets around to seeing the west ky wrestlers so they get very little respect from people on here, but hammonds is pretty good. No way someone walks away with this wright class. Some people are starting to sound like a certain father from the high school board.
