Yes, Aylor won it the year Region 1 had the 1, 2 and 3 ranked guys @ 140 in state. Aylor beat my old teammate Kenny Manual in the quarters and went on to win it. Thomas Campbell from fort campbell didn't place and Cody Walls from Caldwell beat Kenny for 3rd.

If only those three OT matches against IN went the other way. Tough losses. And yes I agree, KY was running deep at 145. Not so deep in a few other weight classes tho. Are seniors kept out of this?

Banks had worked Mitch Ervin the previous times they wrestled (major and by pin if I recall correctly). Then in the finals Ervin straight up controlled the whole match.

Since I'm on here I do have a question for you. What will you do when your child 1 makes it to your so called D1 which by the way Ky is at the bottom of the list when it comes to wrestling is the worst "so your kid 1 is looking weak as sh__ " winning KY. and child 2 which is still in KY and I have already explained what the rest of the states look at this state. How will you find the time to talk smack on this site being a over zealous dad on Ky sites and calling the DI,DII, DIII, NAIA, and Junior College kid Coach asking why your kids isn't starting this year and why he is being forced to redshirt.

Daniel Thueneman is the first name that came to my head. He placed 3rd, what like 4 times in a row? He was also my first ever state match at my first year I qualified for the state tourney. Cody Walls (3rd, 3 years in a row) Adam Carr (aaron's older brother, lost twice in finals to Sullivan). Jason Walls (runner up, high school all american at senior nationals, 6th place).

Just because Union County is 5 hours away from Ohio doesn't mean they don't face tough competition. They do their fair share of traveling to tournaments in IN, IL, and TN. Hardly ever wrestle in state before the month of January. Just saying.

Kline had strep throat all week of regions. It was pretty obvious when he wrestled like crap compared to when he was healthy at state. But ward impressed me. He was one match away from placing himself.

It wouldn't surprise me Robert shows up next season. A varsity spot is not guaranteed at union, especially lower weight classes tho!
