    Evil Predictions

You could make a good argument for both of them.
  7. There are a some tournaments this weekend that should answer a few questions. There also are some very interesting weight classes. Lots of talented kids that I think will either move up or down a weight.

    Dream Match

Maybe I could set up a rematch at my house. Sounds like you weren't 100% when matt beat you. You were so descriptive when you talked about the wrestle off in 7th grade. I think it's time to set that baggage down. You have carried it long enough. I will call Matt and see if I can set it up. I will also call and see if Neely will ref it. Just don't ask him if something looks like ringworm.

    North Hardin Tournament

I agree. Great tournament last year. Indiana outlaws were loaded with talent.
  11. I was having a discussion today with Ranger about team Ky wrestlers. The discussion is what teams did the best. What kids that participated on the teams continued to have a success as they transitioned into high school. What does the future look like for team KY. We have had team KY since the first team in 2004. There have been many tough teams that have been put together over the years. I believe the best placement was 2012 with Binder,Sheffer, Erdman, Belk, Rich, Frankone, Garaziani, Mueller, Young and a few others I cant think of. They placed 3rd in the Silver Division. Just look at the names on that team. Most of all those kids are still winning. Last year we thought as coaches we had the best team yet. We had some kids run through the tournament with 1 loss and even Bender going undefeated. I remember after 8 matches with Illinois Gold we were winning. The problem with last year was we were forfeiting 2 weight classes. So to give up 12 is tough. We did take that same team to Iowa to compete and gave up 4 forfeits and made the gold pool. Team Ky also took the first Elementary team to Iowa to compete. Looking forward I think the future looks bright for Team Ky. It also look bright for all the participants on those teams. I see many kids that have been on those teams that have continued to have success at the high school level. This has to been due to dedicated coaches, parents, and wrestlers. Hopefully this continues and the state keeps growing. Imagine what the teams will look like 3yrs from now. What are everyones thoughts on this? The season is here. Should be exciting to see all those kids continued success. I'm also thinking the 2017 will be tough. Lots of young studs coming up.

    Team KY Past, Present, Future

It seems to that we have become more competitive due to kids traveling more at a younger age. The experience they gain from hitting out of state tournaments is huge. Also we take two teams each year. The first experience for most is brutal. They are usually the 5th and 6th graders wrestling top level kids. I think it is more about the experience than the wins at that point. I was honored to coach for 3 years. It was amazing to watch that group we took 3 yrs ago perform this year. Most of those kids did not win a match that year. Hopefully we can get some more names of earlier teams to see how they finished in high school. I would imagine many of the high school state champs were part of team KY in middle school.

    Team KY Past, Present, Future

That was a little before my time. Just from the names listed that team was loaded. I would say that Efren and Hitchings would have the names of kids on that team. I believe they have been apart of that team for a long time.
  14. That's funny. That getting bigger seems to be going around. I guess I probably don't want to roll around with Casey anymore.
  15. I also like belk. He is a hammer that wrestles with an attitude. I had a long debate with ranger about this. Here is some reasoning behind it. State tourney is the ultimate measuring stick for most preseason rankings. Casey Cornett is state runner up which would give him the nod for #1. Belk has a tough draw with lampe. Green beats Ackley to take 2nd, then Ackley turns around and beats belk to take 3rd. I think the top 4 in this weight class are all studs. I am excited to see them all match up. Hopefully I will see you at a tournament and you can let me know the rankings were wrong. I personally like kids being the lower ranked wrestler. i think it motivates kids and makes them feel like they have nothing to lose. It seems like the kids at the top have more pressure than the kid trying to get there. I see it all the time. I would love to see Cornett and Belk in the finals. I am a big fan of them both. I
  16. I agree about Myers. I think Lampe would be the next one in line for tough to beat
  17. I know some of them have hit virgina beach, brute, iowa preseason nationals, super 32, and philo.

Good luck to all these guys.
  19. Not sure. If he keeps growing i'm thinking he might go back to playing basketball.
  20. I agree. 132 will be loaded.
  21. Fahy and sheffer have multiple titles. Probably the 2 best ms wrestlers There are a lot of kids with multiple titles that were tough. Might not have the titles of fahy and sheffer but have to be considered some of the best middle school wrestlers Roth, yenter, Moore, wells, binder, meiman, Erdman I have a few kids that looked like they were on a different level their 8th grade year. Brett graziani (Campbell) Austin kerns (Conner) Robert smith (union) Logan Erdman (Ryle) Johnny meiman (Ryle) Just to name a few. There have been so many good kids over the years. Not to put any pressure but I think we will see another dominating 8th grade year from another kid. My buddy Zane brown. I'm sure some of the older parents could add to this list.
  22. Stacy actually designed it. White Castle would be pretty funny.
  23. I have always been a big fan of coach Knable at St. X
  24. Glad to see we are finally back to rankings again. Myers said it best. #1 can only go down. I like watching kids climb the rankings. I'm sure there are a few kids that will climb.
