    2020 Ranger Report

Great report! Let's be real, I only slowed you down with my constant debating. As far as the commentary, you saved me a few stink eyes too. I will send my list of 1st thru 4th to you tonight. I am assuming the standard dinner bet still stands? Good luck to all the hammers wrestling tomorrow and I can't wait to watch.

    Pairings? When should they release?

OMG!! It looks like the state tournament might actually have video set up this year. They have set a price for $19.95 which usually means the video will be available. Let’s cross our fingers and hope this is correct. If it is, I would be happy to provide Rangers login to track so everyone can save 20 bucks.

    2019 Ky All Star Classic

What a great event. I wanted to thank Jason Moore for his never ending commitment to grow Ky wrestling. He has been a Rock for years in the Kentucky wrestling community, from constantly helping multiple kids all over the state. Not to mention years of rankings, travel teams and the All Star Classic. The tournament was developed to promote wrestling and give back to the state. I assure you this was never intended for profit and we have the personal checks to confirm. Every penny of profit was spent on Ky wrestling from brackets, shirts, etc. In regards to the All Star tournament, the hope is to get the state excited prior to the season and maybe get some kids recognized by some college coaches. Every year we have multiple kids continuing to wrestle at the next level. It is awesome to see kids move on and earn money toward their college education. So once again, thank you Jason Moore. I also want to thank Darren Thomas and recognize his commitment to the wrestling community all these years. Anyone that knows Darren understands the man that he is. He will go out of his way to help any way he can. We as a state should be grateful to have someone like him helping so much. I could sit here for days and mention people that I have had the pleasure of being around during this process. The countless people that devote time and energy into this sport. My hope is that every new generation makes and impact on our state. It is a cycle they every few years changes as new families and wrestlers go thru the process. My journey with my son and the friends I made was awesome and I will cherish the time we had. I challenge our state to continue to grow, be willing to volunteer, donate, create travel teams, run camps, etc. Finally, thank you to the countless coaches, parents, and wrestlers for all that you do. The season is upon us and I hope you all reach your goals.

    2019 Ky All Star Classic

Looks like you still have jokes. We need to thank Jon Carr for getting this set up and helping to support this event. There are so many good people in the wrestling community, even you Darren.

    2019 Ky All Star Classic

It’s all worked out and we are good to go. Hopefully we can get a lot of people to log on and support this event. All profits will be given back to the state to help grow our sport. We have done finalist brackets, t-shirts, etc and the tradition will continue. My hope is that if you are in a reasonable driving distance you will show up. If not, you will log on knowing the money will be used for a great propose. We are going to showcase all the top kids that have worked their butts off to get to this level. We have had a ton of kids move on to college wrestling over the last 10 years and I know we can get more headed in that direction. However, it will take a lot of dedicated parents, coaches and wrestlers to make that happen. I have faith in our state and have had the pleasure of being around some awesome people during that process with my son Mason. Keep grinding and believe!! We are not a second rate state for wrestling and we are loaded with talent. Sky’s the limit for our Kentucky kids.

    Ky boys

Nice to see Jordan Bates join the West Point tradition. Looks like Coach Ward is paying attention to KY wrestlers. Rumor has it that another Ky wrestler might be attending West Point next year.
  8. Just saw this picture from team Ky a long time ago. Pretty cool to remember. A lot of familiar faces.

    National Collegiate Open

Mason ended up 5th with All-American honors. Both boys wrestled well and it was great to spend some time with them. Nike Man, thank you for supporting them as they journey through this meat grinder called college wrestling.

    Random draw

One day they will figure out it's easy to seed this tournament. Until then, it will give us all something to debate. Good luck to all the wrestlers and I can't wait to watch the tournament.

    KY proud

Spend today in New York with Ranger, Ryan, and Mason. We watched them wrestling at Cornell. Mason ended up with a second place finish and Ryan took 4th. Really proud of both the boys and their transition into college wrestling. We also watched Sean Fausz take a second place finish at the U23’s and Trent Johnson finish with a second place finish as well. Awesome to see KY boys make some noise at the next level. Good luck to all the Kentucky wrestlers as the season begins in the bluegrass state. Go kick some butt!!
