I dont think you can count out Ryle or Walton-Verona. Both teams have multiple returning state places. I dont think they have enough from top to bottom just yet but should be very tough competitive teams. They are both great programs. Northern Ky is full of talented wrestlers and teams. I would say however that it will be tough for anyone to knock off Campbell County this year. Should be a fun year,

I forgot to mention one last person. Chris myers has also spent time with these wrestlers. Chris has a lot of experience in training champions. I think stephen and austins accomplishments speaks for itself.

We are in need of a 100lb wrestler this Sunday June 24th. You must be 14 yrs old or younger. We will be wrestling for a northern Ohio team that was looking for some missing weights. This will be a tough tournament. We currently have 3 ky wrestlers making the trip. I need to know ASAP if anyone is interested in making the trip with us. My son has had the opportunity this off season to work with multiple coaches and wrestlers this off season. Each one of them have made some type of impact on him. I think I should thank them all for taking the time to give back to the sport. John roth, mike bankamper(and the rest of campbell county staff and wrestlers,dave barnes,eric cameron,matt lee,issac knable,mike dehart,nick spatola,stan martin,jessie leng,jeff jordan,tj rushell,mark meyers,randy wheeler,tom pretty. Everyone of these coaches have helped my son this off season and each one have been a pleasure to work with. Thank you all for you time and your passion for the sport

Trithis thanks for the boost of confidence. Coach moore has been the leader of this off season. I can't thank him enough for the time he has devoted to this group of kids. From the 3 days a week of training (plate workouts,weights,etc) to the multiple tournaments and camp we have attended. Coach moore's passion to make the state of ky better not just the kids that wear his school colors is amazing. it didn't shock me that campbell county had 4 middle school state champs last year. I wish we had more coaches that truly cared about kids not just their program. Thank you coach moore. Any program would be lucky to have him.

We have had multiple responses for the youth team but none for the middle school. We are in northern ky and we would love to have some wrestlers from the south. I know there are a lot of kids training since the season has ended. Let me know if your wrestler is interested I would love to have him.

Does anyone know if there are any teams still traveling to tournaments or duels in ky? I have a couple of middle school state placers looking for a team. Please let me know. The open mats and tournaments are really starting to become hard to find.

We put the team together consisting of all northern ky kids. We also posted on ky wrestling for a few weight classes needed. I know our team was put together of all the kids I see every week at open mats. There were no try outs just invites to those same kids. If you would like to be a part of something in the post season I would attend those open mats and talk to the other kids and coaches. I know we have wrestled almost 40 matches since the season and majority of them were from talking to other coaches,parents,and kids. Campbell on mondays, walton on tues, simon on wed, and walton on thur.

We also took a youth/middle school team that took 3rd place. Our team was a good mixture from 5 different schools. Glad to see a lot of ky kids putting in the time to get better. I imagine we will see a lot of the same kids standing on a few podiums this upcoming season. Glad to see ky improving in the off season

Louwrestfan I think you are reading a little to much into it. I think both schools have great coaches. I think empire complimenting them both is a good thing. To say walton has a good coaching staff is pretty accurate. Dave barnes div 1 all american , eric cameron recent graduate of indiana university(big 10), bill peace 4 year college wrestler. So to say these coaches are great coaches is an understatement. I would think any wrestling program would be lucky to have such a well qualified staff. Not to mention they have only had a program for 3 yrs. Not to bad. So the point is that it sound like you are trying to get a rise out of empire or start drama with campbell county and walton

That sled is a nightmare. Tell austin I'm going to get that number.

Team ky is on the road for national duels. Time to weigh in and eat. I wanted to say good job to all the kids that have worked so hard preparing for this weekend. It takes a lot of commitment to continue to push yourself and get better. Hope it turns out well. Good luck and we as a state are proud of you.

Any 85 - 100 lbs middle school kids?

We had a great time today. I know my son was very excited about the session. Looking forward to training in the future. I was very impressed with each exercise and how it helped on the mat. The tire was a killer. Soon as my son finished he looked at me and said "when are we coming back". Thanks again

Is there any smaller middle school kids coming. I was going to bring a 75 and 92 lb wrestler tonight. Just wonder if smaller wrestlers have been showing up.

The red team is training hard on tuesdays and thursday at campbell county. I would like to thank campbell county and jason moore for making us feel so welcome. Seeing all the different kids from multiple school training together for team ky is awesome. There is a lot of talent in that room. I know effren has the blue team working just as hard. I think the hard work of these kids will pay off next season as well. Ky has a lot of young wrestlers putting in the time to better themselves. Good luck to all the wrestlers at nationals

I am here in northern ky and the news said louisville was hit hard. They showed damage on the news and I'm hoping everyone is safe
