Ryle's end of the season banquet tonight. Meiman and Erdman share MVP. My boy Belk gets special award for most pins with 33. I know I am beating a dead horse, but I want to thank all the coaches, and all the teams we have seen the past 4 years. Feel good about Kentucky wrestling, because all of you handled yourself with class. I may not be able to say that for myself, because most of you know me and know how competitive I am, but it has been a pleasure to meet all of you. I have made a lot of friends, (Binder, Heidorf, Myers, Wells, Cornett, Kidman, Smith, Moore, Erdman, etc. I know there is more, but I want to thank you for always respecting Jon Jon and making his high school career awesome. The Belk's, Love us or hate us will be back in 2 to 3 years with Jackson Belk, so look out.

Thanks guys. I will be seeing you around. I got 6th grader baby Belk coming up and he is a true buzz saw.

Nah. That's our story. But you do know your a wrestling dad when your stats are more detailed than the wrestling book. I could tell you what a kids name is that my son wrestled 3 years ago from Sandusky Ohio and what his choice was in the third period. Lol

Geez, You guys are too serious about who should wrestle, and who should not. I thought that we all were in the position to get any and every kid on the mat. What is a youth state champ any way??? My son has won elementary school state 6 times, since kindergarten, he is in the 5th grade now. If he is good enough he will wrestle middle school again next year. This year he wrestled 8th graders that were either state champs or ranked in the top 5 in the state at his weight class. It is about what he learned while wrestling these kids, not his wins or loses. It is what it is, either train hard on the off season or take your lumps. We took our lumps and we are better for it. Don't bitch about my kid wrestled a 7th grader at the youth state, because your kid will be a 7th grader sooner or later and he will be doing the same.

I want to say congrats to a Shamrock wrestler, Jack Cummings. Kid was a huge gamer all day, and had my son worried during the tourney. I just want jack to know that he is a hell of a wrestler and the finals match could of gone either way. I also want Jack to know that he brings the best out of my son (Jackson Belk) when they wrestle. His parents are a class act, and I just want to give the kid props, because he handled himself like a champion when he lost in the last 6 seconds. Yes he was upset, but he got up and acted like a young man when shaking hands. Myself and my son have huge respect for Jack Cummings and his family. Thank you all for a great tournament.

Ranger Report?

I hate it, but 170 is not the same now. I would say it hurts KY wrestling in the end. Dom is a stud, and it takes away from that weight class.

That is terrible, he is a great kid. Now for the real question..... Who is jumping ship and going to 170? Is it too late to bump? I am just asking the question that everyone is thinking...

Just going to be a dad, and say great job to Jackson Belk for Ryle. He is a 5th grader and wrestled like a beast. Yes number 1 ketchen-carter beat him 12-1 and number 2 kid from n oldham beat him. But he never quit and went after it like his older brother.

Why the 2011 results? Just to finish your preview from 2011. Team champs. Club. Gray middle school (Ryle). School. Campbell County. Good luck to all teams and kids.

Ryle finished 6th at wadsworth. Had 2 runners up, Erdman and Belk, 3 4th placers Meiman, Woolf, and Chafee. I think Dorne got 7th or 8th. Seems like we caught all Graham kids in our matches.

. It all shakes out at state. My son Belk has wins over 4 top 20 kids and wins over 3 top 10 in Ohio. It all shakd out in the state tourney. So ranking don't mean anything until their next match.
