Johnson Central adds new coach

Johnson Central Wrestling has added one of the top young wrestling  coaches in America to its staff. Ryan Broman from nationally ranked Christianburg H.S. has moved to J.C.. Ryan is well known for his personal tutorage of high school phenom Devon Carter . A Virginia Tech. graduate and former wrestler Ryan was a 2 time Virginia state champion who was only scored on twice in his 42-0 senior season. In other JC action 171lb  JJ Jude (18-0) knocked off 2 nationally ranked opponent's along with fellow team mates 145lb Zach Salyer (20-0) and 112lb Robert Wyatt( 18-0) to win the prestigious Aggie Skeens Va. Invitational

That should really boost our program. Ive also heard there will be some changes in our weight classes as well i think greg bowen is out so josh conley will be moving to 125, mike ray is going to 130, and jordan young to 135, young and josh caudill was splitting time at 140 so that has to help

Who were the 2 wrestlers he beat that were "nationally ranked"??

JJ  Jude defeated Hunter Adams,Franklin Va. 2010 national open semi finalist,2 time Virginia AAA state runner up, NHSCA ranked , in the semi finals and Tyler Mclanahan Grundy Va. 2010 Reno tournament of champions medalist Va state runner up, nationally ranked for 11th gaders, in the championship match. If any of these rankings are not correct please post and let me know.

January 15 2011....Johnson Central  follows Tates Creek Invitational Championship with 3rd consecutive Region 8 dual meet Championship. With only 2 seniors in the line up hopefully the future will be bright.
