They won their pool with victories over Evansville Harrison 77-3, North Posey 71-6, Tecumseh 76-6, Indian Creek 63-18. In the finals they wrestled Castle (ranked 4th in one poll and 12th in another in Indiana.) The big matchup was Caleb Ervin's against Castle's Doug Welch. The #1 wrestler in KY and Indiana going at it. Caleb looked impressive and won 6-1. They beat castle 42-19 over castle. I think the Raider Rumble is next week so there should be some good matchups and Union is sending the week after the raider rumble a few wrestlers to the Beast of the East instead of the Harrison Ten-Way Duals tournament. Individual records103- Trae Blackwell- 5-0112- Brock Ervin- 5-0119- Jeffrey Wurth 4-1125- Gabe Ervin- 5-0130- Jayce Carr- 5-0135- Keaton Thomas- 4-1140- Chad Gahafer- 4-1145- Caleb Wolfe - don't know his exact record. Kenneth Brummett will most likely fill the 145 spot when he returns later this month from injury152- Caleb Ervin- 5-0160- Jake Risinger- 5-0171- Devin Smith (middle school state champ last year)- 5-0189- Beau Sheffer (Austin Piper moved away)- 3-2215- Thomas Buckman- 4-1285- Two guys wrestled but don't know their records on the day. pridewrestler 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2010 Gahafer was at 30 this week Car was at 35 and thomas at 40. there will be changes in the weights and most likely wrestlers over the course of the month. risinger did lose in the finals against castle.
