Best Wrestling Camps

Recommended Posts

All Results Camp baby. Blows all of those other camps out of the water. There is no other camp probably in the world with better technicians than it. In past years to name a few coaches there have been Dan Gable, Cael Sanderson, John Smith, Zeke Jones, Greg Strobel, Duane Goldman, Head coach at Mizzou, Steve Martin, the area coaches at Cumberland, Head coach at Rutgers, Head coach at Michigan, and a few more and for about 300$ for board food and a week of great clinicians it is worth every penny.

In the USA, the only camp that blows the others away is the J-Robinson 28 day intensive training camp.  In the world, there is a 56 day intensive training camp in Russia that blows all others away.

It is nice to gain 2-3 moves from a technique camp.  You will not maintain any more moves than that during a summer.  An intensive camp shows new moves, but also trains you mentally.  That is the huge difference.  Most wrestlers fall apart in the more major tournaments.  The intensive camps will help with this mental aspect of wrestling.  T

he J-Robinson 28 day camp forces its wrestlers to be prepared for anything at any moment by the end of the camp as participants have to be ready to run, train, weight-train, or hard wrestle at every practice session (be it the 6:00 am meet-up in center hall or the 6:00 pm meet up in the out-building).  They push you to exceed your limits with a 15 mile run after the first 2 weeks of training, of course you are already used to running about 6 miles each morning and another 2-3 at night each day.  They also help you to focus and visualize your movements and opponents.

Campbellsville Takedown Camp is a really good camp. Get someone your size and weight to go with you and you can come out of there with a whole lot, if you apply yourself. Ive gone to Campbellsville and Ohio State Camps with Ashbrook and Sanders and came out wih a whole lot more than I went in with. 8-)

Yea Granby is good for like 2 or 3 times, gets boring after 5.  But FCA holds a camp now with Nate Carr that is really good. it a religious camp obiviously because its FCA, but don't let that keep you away. Nate did and excellent job last year, and even preached on the last night that was very powerful. I learned alot at that camp last year.
