MatMama 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2009 Yes. Hardy had a long recovery road ahead of him, but he plans to be ready to wrestle in the fall. Austin's injury isn't as serious. I think he'll be OK by summer.Turns out Austin's foot isn't broken. He's going to Tournament of Champions. It's going to be a fun time just from the magnitude of the event -- 2100 wrestlers from, I believe I counted, 25 states. It will be pretty cool as it has Freestyle, Greco, and Folkstyle across two days and awards anyone who places first in all three styles. Hopefully I see all of you out there tomorrow. Seriously, 2100 wrestlers from 25 states are going to be in Franklin, IN?Actually there were over 3000 wrestlers in freestyle alone and there were plenty of new wrestlers their on Sunday just for the Folkstyle tournament portion. I cannot verify that there were 25 states. I actually imagine there were only about 5 states represented. But, all in all it was a great tournament. Of course, there are lots of quality tournaments in USA wrestling. The Regional National in Columbus, OH. on Memorial weekend will be very nice sized as well.
