thomam 11 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 We need to get some type of referee recruitment program started here in Kentucky. I know in several areas there are times when we are short on refs. We need to encourage wrestlers to referee after their high school career ends. Wrestlers who may be going to college but staying in state this would be great for. Part time job that would be seasonal and around their schedule.I've mentioned it to my few seniors. I wish there was some type of recruitment packet that the state would prepare so we can get these kids interested and started on the right track to becoming a certified referee. Tackett has mentioned the shortage of refs but i really don't think there is a movement to get more. They could also set-up a booth with information on becoming a ref at the state tournament every year.Any other ideas or possible fixes to this problem?
