    Knights Wrestling Club

Thanks to everyone who came out to our first week of practice at Knights Wrestling Club! We will hold workouts this week on Tuesday and Thursday, but no practice Sunday due to our team traveling up north for the Ohio Intercollegiate Open. We are looking forward to continuing to grow our club and the sport of wrestling in Kentucky. You can sign up at Youth Club - Knights RTC or pay drop in fee of $20 at the door. All wrestlers must have an updated USA wrestling card. Bellarmine Wrestling is looking forward to our first home dual on November 30th where we face off against Lindenwood University. Our goal is to pack 1500 crazy wrestling fans into Knights Hall and create an awesome experience for the fans and athletes. We hope to see you there. Our full schedule can be found at 2022-23 Wrestling Schedule - Bellarmine University Athletics Go Knights!

    Knights Wrestling Club

Knights Wrestling Club is kicking off their youth/high school club workouts this Tuesday, November 1st at the Bellarmine University Wrestling facility. Workouts will include Instruction from the current Bellarmine Wrestling staff as well as current division 1 wrestlers. This is an amazing opportunity for k-12 athletes in the Louisville area to get access to collegiate level technical training and take advantage of what our coaches and facilities have to offer. We are excited to share our knowledge with the area and help grow the sport of wrestling in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. More details and registration can be found at: Youth Club - Knights RTC Go Knights!
  4. Wanted to share another first for our program on a tough week last week. Last week Presbyterian pulled out of the dual for health reasons and we were able to keep our dual with 3x defending SoCon Champions, Campbell University. We decided to travel 9 hours there to make it happen. Unfortunately, we had some guys/staff out due to Covid as well and ended up having to forfeit 3 weights, but we had a first for our program when Sam Schroeder knocked off his opponent who was the preseason #2 in the conference at 184. Due to his 5-0 week, Sam earned the SoCon Wrestler of the week. Below is the link. https://athletics.bellarmine.edu/news/2022/1/12/wrestling-schroeder-wins-bellarmines-first-ever-socon-wrestler-of-the-week.aspx. Tomorrow we wrestle Gardner Webb at 3:00 pm in Knights Hall. Hope to see you there!

  9. Hey Kentucky Wrestling Family, If you haven't seen it already on our social media, our athletics department is wrapping up its "Champion the Knights" campaign. If you want to be a part of the success of the only Division 1 team in KY, you can hop on board to enhance our wrestlers/student-athletes experience here Bellarmine. Today is the LAST CHANCE to get in for this campaign. This also includes a company match option if that is of interest to you. Click the link below to make your donation. If you can only give once this month, please consider Bellarmine Wrestling next time. Feel free to share with anyone else as well. Right now, we are really short on training equipment in our wrestling room. We need some Airdyne bikes, a treadmill, resistance bands, TV's/recorders in the room for film review, etc. We are looking forward to using the money we raise to directly impact everyone on the team and all of our recruiting efforts. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions regarding this fundraising effort or anything on my cell.
