I’ve been before and they wouldn’t let us expo. But it was the morning session. We got one match and one forfeit one year.

Always hard to know what match ups you will get with Madison system. I’m just hoping if I bring a bunch they don’t end up wrestling each other.

They don’t have any information out for wrestling. I know in the past the youth and ms has been Madison system. What about high school? Is it defined weight classes or Madison system?

No I am familiar with the games as i have participated in it for 20 plus years. In the past some of the other events have been sanctioned and ran by third parties. My point is it doesn’t have to be for just Ky kids. In the past it has had some kids from Indiana. I would like to keep doing it but in the past it’s a long day for just a couple matches against kids you have wrestled a lot.

That’s exactly why I said maybe someone else to run it. It’s nothing against how it’s ran now. But if someone like Tyrant or NUWAY were involved it would automatically bring in different kids. People visit their sights and schedule around their events. It’s not about all American status in those events. More about getting good matches. is there a flyer with weights and age groups out now?

Why? It didn’t seem very well supported in Louisville. I don’t think it has grown in 20 years. I may be wrong. Would love to see it advertised more so it would grow. Maybe someone else run it.

Anyone know what teams will be there. Last year we got to see an early look at Ryle vs JC. There were also several good individual match ups to watch.

I believe Tj beat whorton during the season at 120. So that match up might be closer than the finals match showed.

Might be higher than that. Cano finished 7th at semi state and 5th at state at 106.

What Ky kids are going to compete at NHSCA high school nationals at va beach.

Thorton was very impressive. Any word where he is going to college and if he is wrestling.

Wonder if anyone contacted Baldwin from Belfry or Adkins from JC.

They have Aau nationals this weekend and VA beech next weekend. Usually get Ky kids at both of those.

Why did they cancel?

Right that’s not common. That was at 121 in youth. The 113 and 121 brackets in middle school were crazy deep and I would say alot of those kids could compete in high school. I also seen a kid a few years ago that didn’t place at 113 in middle school as a 7th grader and got 6th in youth. Came back and won state at 152 as an 8th grader. I could see your boy winning one of the heavier brackets next year. He’s a very good kid and wrestler. I was talking to a West Virginia friend this week about how tough our middle school state is.

Yeah there was some confusion all year with tournaments. They said we were using USA weights and ages. Well they are different from our middle school weights and ages. The USA wrestling ages for 14u would knock out A lot of 8th graders that aren’t hold backs. A kid born October of 2007 is a true 8th grader. 14u is 2008-2009 birth years.

No it was a good match. Really should have lost. He went pushing in and the JC kid hit him with a hip toss. They hit the mat and he was still loaded on the hip and the ref awarded 2 to Williams then 2 reversal and three backs to JC when he finished the throw. Without that first early 2 points Williams would have lost.

Was wondering what happened there. He had a close match in the finals of youth. Won by 1. Score was 7-6 or something. Crazy thing there is you can take a top 10 high school wrestler and get a really competitive match in youth.

What kid from pt got kicked out? Is it the one that wrestled youth?
