    Top picks for Middle School

In the past middle school has always ended before high school.
  2. Well typically there are never 2 kids ranked at one weight from the same team. I know many examples of studs that are behind other studs so they can't be ranked even though they have beaten other ranked kids.

    State Duals

Union is a small school, Ryle is a big school. Ryle beat Johnson Central in the championship at big school.
  4. I don't know if this is on purpose but you have two Central Hardin kids ranked at 190.

    Rankings 21-22

It's really hard to post rankings without getting any results. In high school, you can look at the season and see all the results from every single tournament or dual meet.

    Top picks for Middle School

Like he said, he was only posting the lower weights because that's all he knows. Matney would be at 168 or 190 if I were go guess.

    P4P Rankings

Does anyone have a top 5 list or a top 10 list of the top pound for pound wrestlers? I was just curious about who you guys think are the best wrestlers in the state.
  8. I was wondering the same thing because I noticed that Nance competed in the NKAC at 106.
  9. Have the locations for regionals been set yet?

New weights!!! Who are the favorites?

    106- Raney 113- Raney 120- Meyer 126- Eckman 132- Thomas 138- Peyton 144- Andreoni 150- Rider 157- Herron 165- Giannone 175- Duke 190- Little 215- Virzi hwt- Smith
  11. I have never understood why anyone would want to be so old while they are still in school. I think what Spencer Moore did was awesome. Instead of trying to make it easier by wrestling younger kids, he took it as a challenge to wrestle kids older than him.

    Spencer Moore

Good luck to Spencer in the Southen Scuffle. Hope he can pull off some upsets and really get his name out there.

    Most surprising so far?

You guys have gone to tough tournaments and wrestled really good teams. Lots of teams will have better records because they haven't wrestled any good teams but that doesn't change the fact lots of your kids with many losses will still run through them.
  14. So he is 15, but that doesn't take away the fact that he is still going up to highschool and showing those kids what great talent he has.
  15. Lots of surpising upsets at the woodford county invitational today, I would wish I could have been their to watch some great wrestling. According to track though, their were many ranked matchups.
  16. He wrestled for Johnson Central yesterday at GRC but he looked like a junior, pretty sure he took the covid year.

    Most surprising so far?

Caldwell looked great yesterday at the Woodford duals.

    Most surprising so far?

I think that TJ Meyer is a young stud who can potentially upset Whorton for 1st at 120. To me, he is the most impressive out of all of these names.

    Middle school finalists/Champs

What happened to the Nance brothers at Ryle? I haven't seen any of them since last season.

    Middle school finalists/Champs

    No, they weren't there.

    Middle school finalists/Champs

105 and 113 are going to be exciting to watch.

    Middle school finalists/Champs

It's still very early since we still don't know what weight class most kids are going to wrestle. I think that it will mostly be the top few guys when the rankings come out. I'm just interested to see who is at each weight class, should be a fun season.

    Super 32

I don't know, it is unfortunate. Looked forward to seeing some of them out there.

    Super 32

For middle school, Smith 1-2 Baldwin 1-2 (3rd place)

    Semi state

Although this is definitely true and I agree with you, I still am very against last year's semi-state. I didn't like that it was a single-elimination tournament. It felt like if you lost before the finals, what did you have to wrestle for.
