Unfortunately. George Dennis and James Morris are two examples. 15 now and actually turn 16 this year. It’s a shame in my opinion and nothing to be proud of when you’re wrestling 11, 12, 13 year old kids. But until the powers that be rectify it then it is what it is.

Is it a shame they are wrestling HS 17 an 18 year olds??? Some of them 17 year olds will be 18 an some of the 18 year olds will be 19 this year

Here’s another suggestion for the pro-rankers: Contact the governing body of Kentucky Middle School wrestling and see if their officers are willing to put in the effort to make rankings. After all, the problem appears to be lack of “finding information” on performances. Right? Well, our governing body would be a place to start.

Thanks for the info I just went from being a father to asking about rankings to being a pro ranker who knows maybe I can go for pro coach next season again thanks for the info

I’d put some together, but don’t see any results for Johnson central. The rankings would basically be region 1-4.

I understand yeah I’m not sure really we have not be with the middle school much this season

  4. Yes sir they do. I understand what he said but that don’t mean everyone feels the same way or is doing there kid the same way. That’s why I never replied to his first comment an if I had better knowledge on the MS kids I would love to help someone but I don’t see many MS kids until state

Then let’s problem solve folks: How about you two get together and create middle school rankings for Kentucky.

Again, I don’t see any significance to middle school rankings, but to each, their own.

If you want to find some good matches, then start practicing at better wrestling clubs, because the wrestler is only as good as their practice partner……..in my opinion.

My son wrestle on the high school team so it’s impossible for me I don’t even get to see ms kids until we go to state. So how about you hunt them down buddy

Like he said, he was only posting the lower weights because that's all he knows. Matney would be at 168 or 190 if I were go guess.

Yes that’s the same for me I don’t know the upper weights I don’t know the lower as well I have not seen many but I have seen some of the names he said

I don’t know much about the upper weights, but here are some of my picks:

70- Carson Matney or Hawk Daughbaugh

75- Cody Blevins or Blake Lemaster

    80- Max Nance

    86- Madden Brown

    92-

    98- Braydan Blevins

    105- Jayden Raney

    113- Jordyn Raney

    121- Utah Heady

Feel free to add on but most of these wrestlers have already proved their dominance at each weight in the past and this season

Thanks looks pretty close to what I have seen as well. I’ve not got to look at a lot of MS this season also I’m not sure what Dalton Matney is but he would be in there somewhere

I’ll agree with most of what you’re saying. However I will add that Matney is wrestling both high school and middle school. I heard it straight from one of his coaches that he’s trying to cut weight for both and just as recently as a few days ago competed in middle school duals. My entire point was that these kids that have been held back and are the age of high school gets, competing in high high school wrestling should leave the middle school tournaments to middle school age kids. I get that they are still technically in middle school but the dad was making a point that his kid in 8th grade was beating some ranked kid, when they kid is 15. It’s not like he’s this phenom that is 12 or 13 beating up on 18 year old kids. He’s actually competing with kids at his age and level. Same with Matney. He’s an excellent wrestler no doubt but he’s also 15 competing with younger kids. He should dominate them. I think it’s just unfair to these kids that are the correct age for their grade. Like I said, my kids are out of middle school but I see these other middle school kids crushed at tournaments and I feel for them.

For middle school my kid wrestled up in weight. He walks around 115 to 116 an wrestle up to 130 the rank 3 kid for HS was a senior so he is 17 or 18 same as last season my son was 14 beat a senior at HS state he does not have a lot of years in this great sport as most do he started when he was 12  I’m proud of that sorry I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings or anyone else but I will tell you this after season is out I take him every where I can he always wrestled up in age an weight in off season I never cried they was older or bigger that makes them better to get beat by them they really see what’s out there an see how strong other kids are an they try harder

Who cares,  you guys have a great program.  Don't let people bait you into these topics.  As long as you are playing within the rules good luck the rest of the year.  I wish you guys no better than 2nd at state duals and 2nd at team state.  As long as you are behind the Raiders it's all good.  :D

Haha thanks man but you know we are coming for first if we can haha you all are great people I seen that last season heck our kids played with that dang beach ball for ever at state hahaha best of luck
