Completely agree with your take on the situation, would much rather get rid of the split to create a more competitive tournament than just letting small schools float from small school to big school on a year to year basis

He’s listed on the roster, that’s big time!

You must know something I don’t know. -
Has anyone else heard a new JCPS rule that will no longer allow middle schoolers to compete at the varsity level, if true, will this affect any big names next year?

Bellarmine!!! Kentucky getting a D1 wrestling program!!!!
Wkywrestler replied to DocG's topic in High School Wrestling
From what I see, the D1 conference bellermine is joining, The Atlantic Sun, doesn’t have wrestling, but they could possibly be granted permission to wrestle in another conference -
What an event that would be

One would think so

Freedom Hall or BB&T Arena at NKU seem like the best fits to me. Both are decently located, also in areas that actually wrestle The arenas would not look empty the only downside would the ability to fit 8 mats like said above, an easy fix to this could be to make state 3 days instead of 2, many other states already do this

Murray would be a nice change of venue, that would mean a 5-6 hour drive for some EKY teams, but then again we are talking about the KHSAA so its definitely possible.

Rupp would be nice, it would also look empty, NKU's BB&T Arena looks like the perfect size and setup.
