150 was a wild bracket at the Rumble. Banfield 8 at 150 beat Oliveras 4 at 144. Peace 14 at 150 beat Bowers 4 at 150. Hutchison 18 at 144 beat Peace 14 at 150. Once Christmas passes, those weights will all start to sort out.

It will be interesting to see if numbers go back up if the tournament eventually gets back to a more central location

The two largest school affiliated youth clubs near Lexington are Woodford county and Madison county. In Lexington, Carr Academy is an excellent club.

Does this mean the spring freestyle/greco calendar is wrong, or is Woodford hosting something April 13, also?

Unfortunately not too abnormal. I really wish we could get more kids out for spring wrestling. I realize there are a lot of regional and national events, but spring is a fun season, and would be much better if there was more competition

I've been to most all of the spring events the past few years, and while I've seen multiple weight classes combined, I can't recall ever seeing divisions combined. I wouldn't have minded it on those numerous occasions when it was a round robin of two kids. That's not to say it hasn't happened, but I didn't notice it with any of our kids.

I see the 4 point nf as a negative. As tough as scoring is in a good matchup, every point scored is a significant advantage. Overcoming a 6 point deficit is extremely tough.
I know my opinion is wildly unpopular, but I would rather see a move to freestyle rules rather than college rules. More energy, excitement, and action, better preparation for international competition, etc.
