2018 Beckley Newspaper Invitational, 1/27/18
Shady Spring High School will be hosting the 2018 Beckley Newspaper Invitational on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Shady Spring High School Gymnasium in Shady Spring, WV just outside Beckley, WV. Weigh-ins will be from 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM, the seeding meeting from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM, and wrestling will begin at 9:00 AM. Rosters including records, career records, previous state and regional placements, and head to head results will be due Tuesday 1/23/18 by 9:00PM for pre-seeding. JV will be permitted at no charge if there are openings.Only short breaks to allow the officials and coaches to eat will be taken.
The entry fee is $175.00 with a check required at weigh in made payable to: Shady Spring High School Wrestling. This will be a double elimination 16 wrestler bracket format. A hospitality room will be provided and concessions will also be available.
Trophies will be awarded for: Individual First, Second, and Third and First and Second Place Team. 2017 Attending Teams
