Murray also has the Racer Arena where they play volleyball. It seats 4000 and would be great.

Racer Arena is in middle of campus so parking would be a huge issue. 10,000 students using campus at the same time as state tourney.  CFSB Center has its own parking lot and better restrooms/concessions.  Man I loved playing pick up games in Racer arena and wish I could've seen a game there once.

Not sure how much seating diddle or Murray state has but I'd hope alot. If the state tournament is moved to the western side of the State Union will pack the stadium more than they already do.

Murray's arena seats like 9k for a basketball game but guessing they'd open up the floor and only allow spectators in upper level.  its plenty big

  3. didn't Hall lose the season he was at KY?  Myron Bradbury beat him if Im not mistaken.

Its not likely but I'd say Nathan Boston still has a shot at AA this year. Ya never know, it may all click in conference tournament, get a favorable draw in NCAAs, couple upsets in the consos and he's top 8.  Dude has the foundation to make the podium. I remember when he avenged his only loss in HS (to Micic) his freshman year at ISU when Micic was at Northwestern. Now look where that guy is.

  4. yeah scrap the two divisions and go back to 16 team (top two teams from each region).  it was created to spread the sport, mainly at the smaller schools and give them a chance to say "we competed at state duals."  it was worth it as we've seen small programs flourish.  now everyone has had a shot to finish runner-up to Union, clearly the best program of the last decade. so go back to the easier and less controversial set-up.  just my two cents.

flo just ranked Elam #11 in nation at HWT.   If coaches decide he's the starter it looks like ATM's time is up at Mizzou.  Transfer again or wait it out and see if injuries happen. Wishin him the best and hope we haven't seen the last of him on a college mat.

I think a move to Lindsey Wilson or something would be an ideal fit for ATM. Just personal opinion.

for the dual yesterday Mizzou had two possible HWTs listed as the starter. Neither were ATM.  Elam got the nod and extended his record to 12-1.

  6. thanks for info, dutch.  I also have tried keepin up with Ryan Moore through Cornell's website and couldn't figure out how to.  Pullin hard for that kid to succeed.  Class act.  And I had totally forgotten about Mason wrestling with Army so I'll be following his progress as well.

I see Austin still listed on the Mizzou roster (great news) and I really hope he's ready to bust back on the scene with a successful season but noticed this story on their news page:

Anyone seen Elam in action and have an opinion on whether he will push for the starting spot his freshman year?  Not instigating, I honestly just don't know much about him or what the staff has in store for the 2018-19 season.  One would think they feel good about having a stronger, older Austin back in lineup and a RS would the ideal decision for Elam.

Freshman Zach Elam (Kansas City, Mo.) had a dominant third period against redshirt junior Austin Myers (Plainfield, Ill.), and earned a 7-1 victory.

However, give the kid credit.  He did win 3 matches last year at the MAC championships (3-1) to take 3rd and qualify for the NCAA's.

always given ATM credit.  He's a great wrestler and I hope his career continues on and he becomes an AA
