I thought it looked like Lee got a 2 count near fall too. My jaw was on the floor every time Lee managed to get his legs back from NaTom. HOW??!? NaTom would get super deep on a shot then a second later Lee is back on his 2 on 1 grip with that left arm. Amazing defensive display by the freshman. Gonna be real interesting Big 10s in March. OSU is so tough top to bottom and getting better.

Hard to get ranked when you're not on the mat. Still think he can qualify for NCAA with a top 3 finish at MAC championships. But right now I suspect he's more concerned with just making the lineup. His absence is puzzling since most expected a big jump forward his RS Soph year and 2nd full yr training with Mizzou. I'm guessing a nagging injury but who knows?

Escalera ranked #20 and one of only 2 Fresh ranked at that weight. -
Fausz is a hammer. If he can peak in the next couple months no doubt in my mind he will make the podium.

RIP Coach Mike -
Hope he finds his way back to the mat soon.

They sent out RS Frsh Bohlken on Saturday and he only lost 3-2 to the #17 ranked Eastern Michigan Heavy. Fans react:

Article from last Friday makes it sounds like Mizzou just isn't sure who their starting HWT is right now: "In the heavyweight match, the Tigers continued on the heavyweight carousel that has been the story of the 2017-18 season. In Thursday's dual, it was Dante Jiovenetta who got the green light from Smith. Unfortunately, the redshirt freshman out of Florida couldn't get the victory, as he lost by decision in his seventh match of the season. Smith appears to be still searching for consistency n the heavyweight slot. Throughout this season, the Tigers have thrown several wrestlers onto the mat in the heavyweight spot, including Rodrigo Diaz and Austin Myers. Regardless of whose name is in the lineup for the Tigers, the meat of the order continues to carry the team to victory, and the team holds the fourth spot in the NWCA rankings."

I'd give edge to Fausz if they were to meet again. He was coming back from a couple weeks off and it still took a takedown in final 10 seconds to best him.

what was the highest place he could get after losing in quarters? this tourney is set up weird. good to see all the KY guys making strides early in the season. could be a banner year for KY at the Conference tourneys and NCAAs

its ok, you can say it, Ranger. Walton Verona is well ahead of Woodford at this point. possibly St X too. -
Tylan bounced back and won the Raider Rumble this weekend cause that's what kids who work hard do. They rise above early season losses and criticisms from the parents who don't even have a child wrestling in high school to show they're proven winners. btw: Saw Austin took another loss this weekend in the dual with Ohio U. Only one of two Mizzou wrestlers to lose in that dual. I'm sure he will bounce back from it tho. He's a stud. Everyone takes an L from time to time.

Everyone takes losses. Sometimes its even top level D-1 wrestlers losing to NAIA studs. Right, Lionheart? Demetrius Thomas (Williams Baptist College) dec. Austin Myers (Mizzou): 7-1

flo predicts Fausz as a darkhorse and has him finishing 7th. that would be incredible! http://www.flowrestling.org/article/53081-gilman-at-long-last-125-pound-ncaa-preview#.WMK1pW8rK70

Bryce and Trent both could be D-1 wrestlers. Ryan Moore for sure. Hell even Brady Wells too. Dante Castellano just committed to Campbell to wrestle D-1 under Kolat. Max could probably get a D-1 school to bite after his dominant senior yr and consistent top placings Don't think its unreasonable to see Joey Roberts at a small D1 school not sure if he's gonna hit national tournaments now. Blanton from Johnson Central also deserves mention even though he's chosen to play D-1 baseball in college.

Ruschell made the cut

Hall looked gassed in final minute and OT but man he was in DEEP on 3 shots. He's gonna be in the mix next week for sure.
