Congrats for a big win.

Who do you think is the most surprising this year? Christian has a few with incredible records. Tilghman has a couple 8th graders doing really well. Here are a few that stand out to me. 106- Colin Teusch- 23-4. Just 4 losses on the year for the freshman. 120- Parker McKee- 15-2. Having a great season since transferring from Tenn 126- Dylan Walls- 29-5. Started the season off ranked around 10. Will be 4 or 5 next ranking. 132- Keaton Elliot- 22-2. Having a great year after a year off. 138- Malachi Rider- 24-3. All 3 losses to highly ranked wrestlers in Tenn and Indiana. 138- Austin Grant-Hall 23-4. Having an excellent season after 2 off. He's a junior that placed ij state his 7th grade year. 145- Ethan Futrell 27-2. Undefeated at 145 after transferring from Trigg. 152- Timmy Dunham 18-4. He has only 4 losses this deep into the season. 160 Zlatko Skulijan- 9-1. 170- JT Adams 12-3. Having a great season after winning a middle school title last year. 195- Uriah Virzi 5-0. Possibly the only undefeated 8th grader in the state. 195- Hunter Vlach 8-1. Only 1 loss this deep into the season. 220- Darius Moore- 28-6. Unbeaten in KY. 220- Andrew Hendricks- 16-1. Also unbeaten in Ky. 285- Tydarius Kelly 19-5. Unbeaten in KY. 285- Blakely Miller- 12-1. Only loss is to Kelly. 285- Andrew Pottle- 15-4. Just 4 losses this far in the season.

Yes! We are still teaching kids to sprawl and defend halves. Didn’t we just start a couple weeks ago?

I’m kinda biased towards the hometown kids, but Spencer Moore is pretty amazing. -
Thanks. I’m seeing a few that have losses not on their track account.
-
I update 3 or 5 times a week. I think I'll start a new tab for the next one.
-
Have you talked to Mike Bacon about any of the Union kids?
-
That's my thought. I just wanted a separate section in the forums. I see a post of "looking for a tourney this weekend" and I click on it and they are looking for youth, so it doesn't pertain to me. To me, they are completely different. Here, we have completely different schedules and coaches. That was my point.

Tom Ketchen- Carter is back I hear. Any word on his first action?

Region 1 big school: Christian and McCracken small school: Union and Trigg/ Ft Campbell (Jan 16)
-
Big or small? What teams?
-
It started out as a regular discussion and got off track. As always. I really just wanted to get some guys talking. How about predictions? small: Union over Walton Verona large: Christian over Ryle
-
Unions coach said he’d take the challenge. Jc is great in football and they’d kill us. No shame in losing to the best.
-
The top ranked teams are: Big - 1) Christian 2) Ryle 3) Campbell 4) Woodford - Johnson Central will prob move up when Williams enters the rankings. Small- 1) Union 2) Larue 3) DeSales 4) Walton Verona
-
I think it works. It gives teams a chance to see other teams across the state.
-
A large school calling out a small school would look ridiculous. I don’t think Union ever called anyone out. I think it was a more casual thing. “Hey, you wanna rassle? Nah, I’m good”. Its us fans that were disappointed and wanted to see it. A dual of Union and Johnson Central will probably never happen, unless it’s at a site in the middle. Neither team can really afford to drive that far. Not sure about Larue or Walton Verona. Union vs Christian hasn’t happened in years (1.5 hours apart). Union vs Ryle will happen next weekend.

Very well put.

I'm hearing Beane suffered a knee injury and is out for the season. -
I just hope I get to see the big school champ vs the small school champ!
-
Since Henderson Co is new, are they small school too? They weren't listed at all last time I looked.
-
A couple of the duals are listed on track. you can see what weight everyone is at. Ranger has them all ranked where they are wrestling except Williams at 106. Plus, I see them in 5th place for now. They did have some great wrestlers graduate.
-
I see it on the schedule now.
