It just uses track results. Not very good for Indiana or Ohio, but gives you some idea of where kids are and who they’ve won and lost too.

Yes it is. They are getting a lot of practice doing the basketball games.

The trackwrestling rankings use a formula with wins and losses. It doesn't seem to take in account of who actually beat each other. They still need a person to interpret the rankings. Its funny that they will use it for those tourneys, but not Regionals.

Yes it was now that you say that, because I have the password to go back and watch matches thanks to Coachc. Now that a lot of us can’t go and will pay the money to stay home, that buy in will be much higher.

Great solutions! Too bad they never asked anyone before doing it their way. In these times of covid, they can shorten matches, but lengthen rest time. They can completely change state and add another tourney, they can move the season around and eliminate tourneys, BUT they can't change the 5 match rule. SMH

I'm hearing rumors of a couple kids out for the season, quitting and some dropping weight. I won't move them until I see it on track or hear it from a coach. I started to put records in but so many matches aren't entered on track. I'll post records after this weekend. Guessing coaches will get track updated for regional seeding.

I just tried and tried to make it work out, but its damn near impossible. 3rd place in a region will get a 2nd shot at #1 even if they lost to #2, and possibly get another shot at the #2. Soooo, I like this idea.

No. What if the region 1 3rd place kid is the second best in the state. He’s only lost to #1 in region 1 at regionals and loses in the bracket you show. #2 kid in state would miss state.

We are all bitching about this while I watch Indiana wrestle. They have kids with 50 matches and their state finals are running pretty normal.

Not wrestling back to a true 2nd is stupid. Wrestling 1/2 of the same guys you just wrestled at regionals all over again is stupid too. No offense to the kids that get 3rd and 4th in regionals, but it’s a big uphill battle. I just can’t wrap my head how any of this fits together. The champs will definitely earn their spots. The rest is about 1/2 of the luck of the draws.

Last I heard Menchata got a late start and is working on his descent to 113.
