That can mess somethings up. Can someone tell me me how they get seed points?

If a kid is 0-2 against someone and on the 3rd and most recent match gets handled, what is more important, the 2 previous wins or the most recent? I think the most recent match trumps the other 2.

I see where Kellett got screwed.

1&2 is stacked with 113 kids. Teusch, Jenkins, Beltran, or Griffith sit home while Lutrell and Plumeri wrestle 1 match to go.

Regional finishing was used just as a match. 1 win/1 loss.

Yes. You can get 2nd in your semistate (which is a hell of an accomplishment in most regions) and go 0-3 at state. Losing 4 matches in a row and celebrate with 8th place.

It looks like last years state placement made a big difference. Stray over Smith. Nance over TKC. Savage over Orneals and Brooksbank.

Yeah, only 13 of 13 in the finals and 11 champs.

They are out now. No big surprises. Jc takes all 14 to semistate and possibly 14 to state.

I’m glad you ranked TKC #1. He is the man to take the title. He is a tough ass kid and a great wrestler. His destiny is to be a state champ. Kid has been my pick since day one. -
State record for most placers is 13. Will Trinity or Johnson Central tie or beat that this year?

None of this jockeying by looking at brackets really matters when they can just move around Sat morning.

These brackets aren’t set in stone? A kid can show up Sat morning and still move up a weight?

Not true. They can still switch around weight classes. They can look at the competing region and move around kids accordingly.

Region 2 is out now. They have an undefeated state champ that has beaten the number 2(major decision) and # 3(fall) in his weight as a 2 seed.

Ncaa brackets are out!!! Too bad region 2 and region 8 aren’t.
