    ATENTION ALL WRESTLERS:

This Saturday is the NCAA D1 Wrestling Finals from 8-10:30pm! In the spirit of the wrestling Franklin County will host an off-season practice from 6-8pm. Directly after, from 8-10:30pm we will watch the Finals on a projector together while eating pizza! We are inviting teams from across the state to join us.
    Here are the details-

WHEN: Saturday MARCH 18, from 6-10:30pm

    WHERE: Franklin County High School

PRACTICE PLAN:  Intro to FREESTYLE and GRECO with LIVE and DODGEBALL mixed in

WHO: Any wrestler wanting to have fun learning new moves (such as THROWS, LEG LACES, and GUT WRENCHES), new styles in general, and wants to watch the Finals with people who LOVE WRESTLING as much as they do.

WHAT TO BRING: $5 to pitch in for pizza and drinks. Along with clothes and shoes ready for wrestling.

*Please email me if you have any questions or plan to attend or comment below. I'd like to get a head count so I can maybe have pizzas called in prior to.

    jeremygardner41@gmail.com

All wrestling coaches, alumni, and fans are welcome to attend. Wrestlers love old guys coming in and challenging them. Besides, I too want to learn new things if you care to show them!

This is an awesome idea, could you post it over in the other forum also for the Middle School / Youth....I'll spread the word to our parents from Anderson County.

Yes we are looking for k-6th 96!

Also entering a 2nd MS Team so looking for the following

    6-8 graders

    77, 82, 87, 97, 114, 137, 144, 156, 167, 182

Ok, your gonna have to excuse me but I'm a little confused and sometimes a little slow. So would he be signing up to compete with your team, if so does he just continue to practice with his home team and then just show up out there to compete? Is this a dual meet or individual tournament? Does he have to compete for the weight if there are multiple signed up or is it first come first serve?

Wrestlers, Coaches, and parents, please do not pass up this opportunity for the first post season tournament in Kentucky.  We want to continue to grow this event and make it as competitive as possible.

Please also remember there is a girls division too for all girls who want to come and compete.  All girls divisions will wrestle at 10:00 a.m.  If you would like a copy of the girls division flyer let me know.

If you would like to host a remote weigh in site, let me know that as well.

    Garrett,

Could you please email a copy of the girls division flyer to jnv858@gmail.com

Jeffery Kinley is either going 90 or 95. I appreciate you stepping up and saying he'd be interested. We're trying to give the  finalist a day or 2 more to respond then open it up from there.

Thats cool, he could do youth also. Just let me know, gonna try and keep him as active as possible this spring and summer.

2017 Bluegrass State Games will be July 29th at Louisville Male HS.

We Have made the move to Louisville to try to help build numbers . We hope the move will draw more from the large number of teams in the area.

If you have any suggestions on improving the tournament,  we are open to suggestions.  I'm looking at possibly have team trophies for teams that compete, girls division,  and possibly using trackwrestling.  More info will be coming soon

Scotty you gonna post this in the MS/Youth forum also.

  10. Has anybody offered up a 92 pounder... I could possibly be interested in throwing my youngest, Joshua Strayer,(5th grade) in the mix if you all need one. He took 2nd at District, 3rd at Region and went 1-2 at Middle School State. This was his first year competing at the MS level.
