So I'm glad you admit it's all about you and not the kids. What alterior motive would they have? None. You are the type of person who thinks you are better than eastern Ky folks and can't stand it when teams like JC come up to your region and kick your butt. The fact is we always have to come to you to wrestle. We have to cancel touneys because no one wants to show up or backs out at last minute to attend a NKY tourney. When we do have a opportunity people like you tell us how to do it. Everyone from district 8 was good for Sunday. The new team to our region comes in and tries to dictate how things should be. When you have a Region 4 title then you can have input!

Whatever dude. I know for a fact that one coach from district 7 wanted to get his way and was going to change the venue if the date wasn't changed. U may be that coach. Don't hide behind the association. I got the emails.

What a disaster. District 7 cry babies shouldn't dictate how the host from district 8 holds the tourney. It was your year to host and no one wanted to. Had to cry to state association to get your way. I'm sure u guys will try to reseed the tourney also.

Probably going to be reschedule to Friday now. Can't wait for more excuses!

Wow you are so right! My kid is 25-3 on the season and is the favorite to win state. I sure hope no one shows up to wrestle him! It is crazy people complain about selfish stuff. I was simply stating that a previous posting said that state duels have been on the calendar for a very long time and changing our Region tourney to the same day hurts several kids. The middle school tourney should go by quick. Seeding is already done and you only have an 8 man bracket. If it starts at 10 then we should be done no later than 2. Then you can drive your 4 hours home and have little Johnny in bed at 6. This should really help the youth wrestlers who show up early and watch the middle school tourney. Just seeing what its like at the next level and the work they need to do to prepare. Should be a very positive experience.

To late in the game to change locations.

We probably won't have school all this week. Will take until Sunday to clear. Plus refs are not going to drive from Lexington area to Paintsville to work. Let's not forget that is the real reason. If the original host school didn't back out then we wouldn't have this problem.

Keep it on Sunday. This allows some of the top wrestlers in our region to compete and represent Region 4 at state. Otherwise they will go to high school duals

I agree. Some officials have gotten out of hand and have over stepped their responsibilities this season. I would think this type of decision should be left up to a vote by coaches

Wouldn't it be great if more snow comes next weekend and causes havoc. I'm sure region 4 would be left out of state tourney.

If coaches do not get their required credentials, can kids go wrestle for another club? Or can a credentialed coach from another club help coach another team?

Why does 106, 113 and 138 and others not have 25 kids ranked? I'm sure there are some good kids deserving of these spots. Just seems odd and sends message that you don't matter if your not top 15 or whatever or no one cares about this weight class. Why have 25 spots?
