  1. Head Coaching Position available at Spencer County High School. Multiple teacher openings in district at all 3 levels. At HS there is Science and Social Studies openings.

     

    Why it’s a good position:

    1. Feeder program has been established for 4 years. Actually will see strong results because of it over the next 2 years.

    2. A 66’x45’ space to practice in.

    3. $9,000 start up money to buy mat or whatever you think will build program the right direction.

    4. Small town atmosphere. Community support is there. We have had 30+ parents at the meetings prior to tournaments and fundraisers.

    5. They district is in the process of improving pay for all coaches and staff.

    6. Only one Senior in next years class but there are 3 Freshman and Sophomores that have High School State Tournament experience.

  5. ATTENTION ALL WRESTLERS:

    This Saturday is the NCAA D1 Wrestling Finals from 8-10:30pm! In the spirit wrestling Franklin County will host an off-season practice from 6-8pm. Directly after, from 8-10:30pm we will watch the Finals on a projector together while eating pizza! We are inviting teams from across the state to join us.
    Here are the details-

    WHEN: Saturday MARCH 18, from 6-10:30pm

    WHERE: Franklin County High School

    PRACTICE PLAN:  Intro to FREESTYLE and GRECO with LIVE and DODGEBALL mixed in

    WHO: Any wrestler wanting to have fun learning new moves (such as THROWS, LEG LACES, and GUT WRENCHES), new styles in general, and wants to watch the Finals with people who LOVE WRESTLING as much as they do.

    WHAT TO BRING: $5 to pitch in for pizza and drinks. Along with clothes and shoes ready for wrestling.

    *Please email me if you have any questions or plan to attend or comment below. I'd like to get a head count so I can maybe have pizzas called in prior to.

    Well even if you can spread the word it could go a long way! I know it is late notice but it should be fun for any wrestler who shows up. It will be an open mat with a laid back atmosphere, so kids can learn something new and fun without judgement and then some live to compete and practice before they get thrust into unfamiliar territory. The finals should be awesome to watch in itself.

  8. Franklin County will be hosting Open Mat tomorrow, May 13, from 5-7pm. This is for all age groups. It is free admission. Wrestlers will simply need to bring a USA Wrestling card.  Coaches are welcome. The school address is:

  9. PAID-YOUTH and MIDDLE SCHOOL COACHING POSITION

    Jessamine County Schools-They are starting a program up there due to a few parents and teens pushing for the sport and are in need of someone wanting to build a program from top to bottom. (Great to see the sport growing. Recommend someone who can help, if you aren't able)
