Kentucky was represented well yesterday at Brute Nationals there was 7 kids that competed in different high school grades and weight classes 4 made All-American status they were: 2nd place Senior 128 Skyler Martinson Daviess County High, 3rd place Freshman 138 Dylan Martin McCracken County, 4th place Senior 160 Andrew Ackley Nelson County and 5th place Sophomore 174 Griffin Dulak formerly Larue County wrestling not sure where later think John Hardin I just want to say congrats to them all who wrestled with class and did a great job. It was an honor to coach three of these kids to victory thanks boys for making Kentucky wrestling proud.

Thanks to you Coach Rudolph for all you have given to the sport we all love and enjoy your time off you deserve it.

We will be having one at Daviess County High usually the last Friday night and all day Saturday of July cost this year will be 70.00 and we will put out more info with flier later. Last year was hosted by 2-time National Champion Jamal Bryant hope he can make the trip from Florida this year to do it again. Thank you to all that came to our camp on July 24th and 25th Jameel Bryant did an outstanding job we had around 35 kids or so and all seemed to learn a lot and work hard. Thanks again to all see you next year we hope.

My understanding of the pre-season wrestling guidelines from KHSAA is you can only do one scrimmage or preseason event and it can only last like 3 hours from the message the AD sent out so I think individual is the way to go that way its on the kids them selves not a team made event so as not to do anything wrong and I could just be mistaken on the rules.

As always thanks for the guys time for doing this the kids always enjoy it I think.

As for transfers it depends on the district and how much they push it and how good the fake addresses are for the transferred kid we lost one last year that still lives in our school district. I wouldn't count on anything the kids from our school shouldn't have been allowed but was you just have to wait and see how the politics goes down. Its wrong but happens.

On the Flier it says weigh-ins are Friday night but I see there is also Remote sites can you give me a contact info of who is running tourney so I can either get remote site set at our school or where some are already

Looks like they are all tough if you look at about every weight class was mentioned with the exception of 126, 132, 138, 195 and HWT wow I would think the lower three should be very tough considering all the kids returning there or 120 kids moving up including possible a 2 time champ from union and the runner up at 120 not to mention not all those 138 kids graduated. I think its way to early at this point they all will be tough at the top 4 at least its where everyone moves to at the end that will tell later.

Really if I understand what you are saying correctly if the kid is an 8th grader now and you just want him ready for next year when he will be attending Doss. Then just get him a usa card so he is covered by insurance and take him to some of the open mats in your area most only require you to have a USA Card to be insured and then go to clinics and other camps from colleges and or teams. You can find camps all over on here and they are open to anyone then next year just wrestle for Doss.

Do ya think the KHSAA will ever allow kids that go to private or public schools without wrestling or homeschooled kids to go wrestle at schools that do to help numbers. I think they should. What ya think?

so I guess you aren't in Kentucky what state was that

In our town we have several small religious schools and none offer it and yes I have lots of kids and parents ask often for a program like ours it would truly help with numbers we normally don't have enough to fill out a roster I do get your concerns about the schools own students losing spots to kids that just come to wrestle and wish I had that problem I was just asked again but 3 different parents this week and so thought I would see if anyone knew anything different. I agree with you it has good and bad things with it I just love the sport and want it for all.

yeah that's true but they can always be members of USA wrestling like we do for middle schools couldn't we

As everyone on here it seems we all have lots of likes and dislikes about the horse park. But I have to say the one thing that bothered me the most was last year when we wrestled the finals at one end of the arena instead of the middle so all could see equally. As I told the powers in charge that makes no sense we all pay our money to watch the matches why should I be sitting at one end of the arena the entire 2 days then when the finals come now I need to have my telescope out to see the last matches. This is something that to me makes no sense at all and should be placed back in the center of the arena you had to move the mats to set it up at one end why not just do it in the middle so all can see correctly.

Everyone always sits in the same locations every year so if that's the way they are going to do it this year then move it to our end, but I am just saying if we wrestle at the horse park because of the size and seating then why do we want to move all people after 2 days to one end. Seems stupid to me.

why should I have to pack up everything and push through the other teams that are already in that area and have to have all of our kids seat separately or with people they don't even know when they can just be in the middle for all to stay where they are
