    Big Announcement is here

These Ranking arguements are quite hilarious though! Only if everyone new those numbers are purely just 3 things A Prediction where someone is supposed to be Where the person is supposed to be or currently at OR Politics Its just for mental understanding it has nothing to do with how you have to approach your opponent when its time, they are just numbers guys

    Big Announcement is here

I'm curious forgive my lack of understanding as many of these things are new as when I was in high school not too long ago there wasnt even a WHOS NUMBER #1 tournament LOL.... But the all star classic is new to me Was this open to all the kids or was this just to headline the top 3 in every weight class? Couldnt this tournament been open for all the kids to come out and get the reps and then have OPEN finals matches for the top 3 as it was planned out? For years Kentucky has been doing the same thing over and over, how does building a wrestling community only involve catering to a certain group of kids.....???? We need the state and these schools to be taking our sport more seriously so that especially involves highlighting the ENTIRE sport in our state as a whole, every wrestler we have needs to be motivated to enter big tournaments, shown how to afford the tournaments, what to do, what not to do.... TWO HEADS ARE BETTER THAN ONE And I'm in agreement with some of the previous post, its not really a legit matchup so early before the season, but it definetly isnt a bad idea to go ahead and put them in there.

Singlet vs Shorts and Shirt/MMA Gear

It's cool to the point of no gi grappling if you've ever seen the gear and watched it it'd really build a cooler and more huge popularity base But end of the day it's easier to break rules and accommodate styles and moves I always found it funny when patents who hated their kids watching MMA and even judged coaches who did or train it but then would order the shorts for their kids with a fat CF cage fighter on the side Especially when some aren't educated that many really good wrestlers have migrated to MMA End of the day I'd vote old school but you have to accept change some point in life

    Former KY Studs

Lol I have no idea what's going on I must've missed something . I keep seeing Boston and ATM popping up .... guessing I may have stepped into a Pandora Box opened previously I've seen that in our own state with people not taking on good competition in other weight classes in the state. You rarely will see guys taking those chances here because of a record . Truth be told after wrestling in two colleges I found that high school success goes away very fast . This is a warm up to what is ahead

    Former KY Studs

All great stats by OUR STATE KIDS 100% AGREE, just want it to be a fair call though for the true backbone hard working guys that get these kids to this success from those other stats, I'm speaking more for them if anything, they dont have a voice on here.... Every KY State champion has something great about them that separates them from the next one, even the state placers, I believe some of the best guys never win state! No comparisons at all to Austin I was using that as a outline to my fact that I was trying to make, without that I'm a blind man swinging for the fences
  22. teamironman

    Former KY Studs

I just respect the the hard working coach behind the wrestler, is all I'm saying. I am blessed to say I currently train and compete in more then 4 different grappling areas outside of wrestling, and if its anything I've learned people will do some crazy things for the price of fame, for example their are some cases where coaches are getting something good in their hands and immediately taking credit for its talents and success, thats not honorable or champion like, you can have all the gold medals in the world and the most flashy resume to back it up but how you carry yourself and as a leader will mean more in the end I dont take anything away from Austin by the way, as a matter of fact I've never heard bad things come from the mouths of coaches at CC to say they are taking full credit for anything,I love that program, although they wear purple singlets long as you are a beast in them it doesnt matter though hahaha The fact is though and I'm not talking about cross training, going to camps, training and going somewhere else If you are in a full season in a state and this coach is working his butt off to get you to see your dreams past And the kids moves (obviously) out of the kids hands, and then wins another state title in another state, and then leaves though I commend the optimism of the subject but in REALITY a kid from another state just made that state look too easy especially if he did it undefeated and then after he leaves we are blinded to what really is needing to be improved, instead we polish the truth up with kentucky is getting better at wrestling look at this guy who just won state here thats just not true In respect its always great to see a fine athlete come to the state and lead by example from their state. Now before this gets brought up, if we are saying KY is improving because we had Brock Ervin and John Fahy come through the ranks,I'm going to tell you now, politics still exxist and itll never be the case, someway somehow someones is going to say they only won against ky opponents, and never made thunder on the outside, as Austin did. (No coat tail riding) but I have to outline the facts in reality.

    Former KY Studs

question my friend not arguement The Carr case is pretty obvious Davids family lives here too Over the years though many many guys have came from other states Ohio,Michigan,Iowa, Wisconsin etc. It's almost like a program that runs here in the state that says they turned gold piece into gold if you catch my drift Someone somewhere else put work into that machine just for it to go somewhere else and someone steal the thunder and again lawson and carr really arent the point I'm trying to make as many were before them
