From the By-laws - Case BL-9-4- Does Bylaw 9 apply to participants in any sport other than basketball or football? No. There are no restrictions on the student-athletes in sports other than football and basketball as it relates to outside competition during the season or prior to the season beginning. The youth tournament has the venue on Sunday and didn't want to move. Youth teams are club teams and are not bound by school decisions. These are parents driving their kids wherever they need to go in order to compete.

I don't think I could blame the youth tournament. Another several weeks of practice has a big impact on teams. I know some of the clubs have to pay for practice space at the schools.

Depending on where you are in the state, Union usually does one too
