We have a couple spots open in next years Holiday Hammer on December 29th & 30th 2017. We are located in Abingdon VA 2 minutes off Interstate 81 (about 2 hours from Pikeville and about 4 hours from Lexington). We do allow teams to enter more than one wrestler per wt class so your whole team can wrestle instead of just your starters. I try to run this tournament as quickly as possible and we will run 4 mats for the finals so we can finish early and get teams on the road home. We anticipate we will be completely finished between 4:00 and 4:30. Plenty of lodging within 5 minutes of school. We have some super nice hotels and we also have some above average hotels for $50-$60/night. We give out Custom Diamond Plated Aluminum Hammers (3 feet tall) to the Champion of each wt class as well as one to the winning coach of the team champions. We try to make it fun for the kids. Their eyes light up when they see the Hammer's. Its also amazing to see how much harder the kids wrestle with some hardware on the line We did not have Kentucky represented last year. We would love to add a tough Kentucky team to our field of teams.

The Mountain Man Classic will be awarding Custom Championship Belts in 3 divisions this year! The Mountain Man is held at Abingdon High School in Abingdon Virginia. We are located in Southwest VA, 2 hours from Pikeville KY. Last year was our inaugural Mountain Man in which we only awarded Belts in the Middle School Division. In our first year we had over 300 wrestlers from 8 different states! (Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Florida) With Custom Belts awarded in 3 divisions this year we are expecting our numbers to EXPLODE! Saturday December 5th will be the individual Belt tournament and Sunday December 6th will be Elementary and Middle school team dual tournament. Be sure to check out our website for all the info.
