Anyone can join. 9-11 was one of the few times we could get that was rational with a traditional college schedule. As for prior wrestlers: -John Crawford (220 ST. X) -Noah Bauer (170 ST. X STATE RUNNER UP) -Roderick Agyerman (132 Franklin County State Placer) -Robbie Valdez (Holy Cross) -DeShawn Barrows (Fern Creek State Placer) These are some of the regulars. We also have a variety of new kids which regularly attend and have a variety of wrestlers from Campbellsville, Ashland, Cumberlands, and Ohio University. We welcome anyone to come out!

Next Monday's Courier Journal will feature an article mentioning the University of Louisville's new wrestling club! Also, we now have the ability for non-students to wrestle with us during our times (Monday and Thursday 9-11 pm). Simply walk in to the Student Rec Center on 4th street and ask about the $25 semester membership. You pay $25 now and can use the SRC with the club and be a part of the beginning of U of L wrestling!

We used to play one called chess or king turtle and we did it at U of L the other day. Kids are divided into 2 even teams. All team members get on knees except for one on each team. The one standing on each team is the king and the ones on their knees are the pawns. The goal is to take the other teams king down but you can also eliminate other pawns by turning them to their back. Once a king has been taken down, GAME OVER!

We will make them available to the public as soon as possible. Glad we already have a fan club

University of Louisville Cardinal Wrestling Club Wanted to give a little more notice for our next practice and agenda. Next meeting (Thursday 9-11pm) in addition to wrestling we will be discussing several topics: 1.) we will definitely be ordering tshirts 2.) we will discuss holiday schedule and see how many people would be interested 3.) we are going to look into putting an actual 10 man lineup together as we are looking at going to some events next semester Even if Thursday will be your first meeting we still invite you to come out and join us

As to who is running this, my name is John Crawford and Noah Bauer is the other co-president. We both wrestled for St. X last year I wrestled 220 and Noah wrestled 170 and was a state finalist. The club is run by myself as well as two other coaches all of which are certified through USA Wrestling. We have two acting co-presidents. Practices will be determined at tonight's meeting.

The goal of the program is to first introduce wrestling to the university with practices and maybe some scrimmages. Then after we have shown we can conduct ourselves in a mature manner (no punks coming in wanting to start a fight club) we can turn into a traveling club team and more, but first we need people to show up and we need some support.

Restricting the club to students was not our call, it was the administrations. As for where the thread was posted, a majority of the people who get on this site go straight to high school wrestling. This was the best way to reach the most people.

With the addition of the new recreation center at UL and the new room with a mat, myself and another former wrestler have inquired about starting a university wrestling club. The purpose of the club is not so much to participate in tournaments but to have fun, stay in shape, and get back on the mat. Due to the size of the room, the membership must be limited and only those with a current U of L ID would be permitted to join. The idea is maybe 3 meetings a week in the gym, a mix of live wrestling and drilling, and maybe a few in club competitions. As of now we are in the preliminary stages of the creation of the club and must prove to the board there is real interest so all of those who may be interested please contact me at 502-640-3143 so we can get this thing off the ground and get back to wrestling.

Overlooked meaning when people think of Campbell county they think Fauz and Meyers right away, which in no doubt due to their successes last year. What I am saying is I am very eagerly awaiting watching the CC 170 and 182 classes as much as Meyers and Fauz

A kid that kind of gets overlooked because of so much hype is Matthews from CC. IN last years semis, even in a loss to pledger, he showed big move potential especially as a sophomore vs a senior in an upper weight. Turner Meiman Courtnay will be great matches as well. Back to 220 the first place spot is all but locked up but the next 4 can go in any order and look for someone like Hamblin or Duvall to jump into the mix if they can get a bigger gas tank both are strong and have enormous reach. Personal order 1.) guess who 2.)Mueller- personal experience vs this kid I am impressed especially as a freshman. Good footwork and strong 3.)Mattingly- Strong fast but faded a little in our match looking for Mueller to avenge last years loss 4.)Neice or Farris.
