really I swear I think I can remember last year at the HS state tourney everyone complaining that the #1 171 lbs we had to wrestle Lane Jones in the 2nd round and got beat. That they shouldn't of ever met that early in the tourney that they should seed the tourney

Wasn't there and hate to hear that it happened , but no matter what the wrestler has to keep their composure. I know we are dealing with kids and at this age their brains and emotions are all over the place. So we can't just write off a kid and consider him or her a bad sport or bad kid from one situation . I'm speaking from experience. My own was one of the worst win he lost exspecaily win he thought he lost cause off a bad call. I have had to pull him out of a tournament in the past because of his actions. But off the mat he his one of the most quite and polite kids I know. He would help anyone that needed it. Over the years of talking to him and explaining things to him he has for the most part got it under controll on the mat after a lose. He still gets upset but most of the time he will go somewhere where he can't be seen and has his fit. I don't like him still melting down but at least he don't do in front of everyone. A lot of that has to do with his coaches and I just talking to him " a few threats" LOL but I think it's sinking in.

Must be nice to be able to argue over 2 different dominant teams from the same school. CC has an awesome program and I hope our slightly new program can build to be that consistent year in and year out.

I'd like to thank Jason Moore and John Roth and who ever else was involved in pulling it off to get our region tournament in yesterday. It went very smooth and there was some great wrestling and some upsets. I know it took a lot of work to pull it off.

great point Dutch sorry I didn't mean any disrespect to anyone. They are both great kids and wrestlers. I just got caught up in something I shouldn't of. If I made anyone mad I didn't mean to. I wish the best of luck to all the wrestlers. I need to know when to just set back and keep quite. Again if I said anything disrespectful I didn't mean to.

I don't know about the toughest but the closest competive class up here was 86. You had 2 matchs where one wrestler was up on the other and at the last minute the other kid caught the one that was up for a 5 point move and the win. Plus had another match tied going to the last 30 seconds and a kid made a mistake and got caught. It was very exciting and heartbreaking, but that is wrestling. No excuses 2 kids going at hard for 3 periods till 1 makes a mistake. I don't know how these boys will do down state but wishing them the best. Mine was on the short end of the stick in 2 of them matchs but he kept his composure and still made state. Maybe next time when we till him to take down he will listen. Lol

If you knew grapplehed you wouldn't be saying anything negative. He was a great wrestler and he is a great coach and a good man. People tend to read things the wrong way sometimes.

I know way back when I wrestled Woodford county was the toughest.
