    Region 6 Predictions

No, IWin, I shouldn't have come on here shouting at Ranger. I was caught up in celebrating Braden's win and got carried away. I want to apologize to Ranger because I do understand that ranking hundreds of kids must be an impossible task. As for Mr, Belk, he's not a blip on my radar screen.

I think I'm done here!! I've said all I need to. Please don't let my rant and opinions reflect on Braden. He IS a great kid and he deserves all the credit in the world. I won't be checking back. I have plenty of internet fodder to make fun of my weight without your help. My kid will do his thing. I'm sure of that.

    Region 6 Predictions

Oh hi, Ranger! Hi Belks!! The LAST thing I want is for my input to have any impact on my son... k? Let his accomplishments stand on his own. I'll own my fat ass all by myself. Ranger, so you and Belks are BFF's. I don't mind telling you that your ranking of Braden sucked. He beat Dodd the first go-around. It was an easy win. He lost two other times, once because he was sicker than a dog. The other loss was legit... lets face it, any wrestler can beat any wrestler on any given day. Its half luck. Braden lost to Gage Jones twice, but he also beat Gage the first time and the last time he beat him was an absolute slaughter, 16-2. I rarely see you chiming in on random posts, Ranger. I completely respect and appreciate what you have done for the sport. I was just dismayed to see Braden at #12 and I expressed my opinion to you on the most recent rankings. I thought it was a slop job. It seemed completely out of character for you. I was miffed!!! Belks, you're just an asshole. There was absolutely no need to address my weight. I know you, I know your kid... wow... you lack all over the place. I'll be sure to spread the word. Braden is a great kid. He works HARD for the youth wrestlers. He's no slouch on the mat either. Don't take your frustration out on him. I'm happy to take all the shit you want to give out. Can we agree on that?

Swell..... a fat joke. You're a class act, JCB. Embrace your ignorance.. it seems to work for you! Incidentally, JCB... which part of my post did you NOT agree with? Or, did you just really feel the need to get the fat ass comment in?

BadMad, thank you so much for the compliment. Braden LOVES working with the kids and plans on spending a lot of time with them in the future. Thank you for commenting. I'm really proud of him!!

    Region 6 Predictions

I'm a mom.. CAN'T HELP IT... BRADEN JONES will wrestle Eli Matthews from Campbell for the Region 6 championship tomorrow. Ranger, STUFF THAT IN YOUR SHORTS AND SMOKE IT!!! Dropping him to #12 in the State was just... stupid. Braden beat Gage Jones 16-2 last week and had little trouble with Ryle's Wolfe tonight. Braden controlled the match the whole time and pinned him in the second period. Looking forward to Braden taking on Eli tomorrow. Braden feels confident but respectful of Eli's talent. Congrats to all the Region 6 kids for working so hard!! So many of them are near and dear to my heart. I've enjoyed every minute. Special congrats to Dru Shorer (150), Ahmad Hamedian (220) and especially, Chris Vaskey (113) for making it to State. Boone has always struggled, so to get four kids on the road to State is GREAT!! Vaskey was seeded #12 of 12, I believe... and pulled through to wrestle for 3rd or 4th tomorrow. SO PROUD OF THESE KIDS!

    Region 6- Weather?

Wrestling has been cancelled for Friday night. All matches, except the final, will take place on Saturday. Weigh-ins will be at noon with wrestling beginning at 1:00. Sunday finals matches begin at 2:00.
  8. Has Been... your name suits you well. I'm not sure there's been bigger contributor than fanofwrestling to the 182's specifically.... and Ranger just blew that one all to hell. If he didn't blow the other weight classes, at LEAST he needs to turn over the 182's to someone else because that one is just a mess.

    Teams attending Capital City Classic??

Tarzan, had you read my post in its entirety you would have seen that I stated that I was unsure if the entire tournament was cancelled or if just Boone had pulled out. Just thought I'd point that out to you out of the goodness of my heart.

    Teams attending Capital City Classic??

Boone County School has announced that the tournament is cancelled. I'm not 100% certain if it applies to the entire tournament or if just Boone County will not be attending. I THINK the message seems to indicate that the whole tournament is cancelled.

Woodford County Inv . Always one of the years Best

Supernat.... thanks for letting me know that Dru Schroer and Ahmad Hameidan both came through for Round 2! They, too, are Boone County kids, largely ignored by the wrestling community and especially by our own Region 6. Its cool though. The NKAC is coming up. Can't wait!!! Somebody needs to be paying attention to Ahmad for future reference. He's a sophomore and its only his second year of wrestling but he's going to be a rabid animal in the coming weeks and years. Take note coaches... he'll be a headache for the heavyweights.

#2 seed 182lb Braden Jones won his first match.... you know, mom here.... next up for Braden is a kid from GA who we know nothing about.

I'm not sure when weigh-ins begin but I can tell you that Boone County High School will be arriving at WCHS at approximately 8:15 so I assume weigh-ins will begin around then....perhaps a bit earlier if other schools arrive earlier.

Friday night lights tourney attn: big guys 160 and up

Beautiful night, exceptional talent.... really hope it catches on. It was a very unique event with huge attendance. I'd LOVE to see something like this in northern Ketnucky. Its easy to put together and a great time was had by all.

New Spatola Wrestling Facility Now Open

Congratulations on the beautiful, new facility, Nick. It looks awesome!! I'd like to be the first offer an UNSOLICITED, glowing recommendation for Spatola Wrestling. My son started with Nick about 3 years ago as a freshman in high school and to this day credits Nick with being his best ally in the sport. Nick has not only trained my son in spot-on technique, he has been able to instill a sense of confidence in him that was sorely lacking in the beginning. My son is a state wrestler and is expected to have a great season this year, in no small part due to Nick Spatola. I have attended portions of Nick's training camp weekends. I, myself, have been absolutely blown away by his ability to relate to and understand the wrestler's needs, identify his strengths and weaknesses, and pay such personal attention that the kid feels like he's getting a private lesson in every session. Mostly, I've been INSPIRED by Nick's motivational talks and enthusiasm. I can't stress what an outstanding effort Nick puts forth for each every kid and I will be forever grateful to him for what he has done for my son. Nick clearly loves what he does, CARES about the kids and has traveled all over the tri-state training beginners to state champs. I know because I've taken my son to many locations to meet up with him. The time is more than worth the trip. I'm so glad that Nick now has a home base and I would encourage anyone to visit Nick to see what he can do for you or your wrestler. Prices are more than reasonable and his attention is impeccable. Once again, I want to stress that this is a legitimate, unsolicited endorsement for Spatola Wrestling. I'm so happy to see this announcement in here.
