    ETC with Ramos a SUCCES!

Wow! Tony Ramos! Great job by Rob and Nathan to bring in such a high profile wrestler. ETC is doing it, period! Congrats guys!

    Scholastic Duals

Seems like you would want to send your best, wretling all together. As a competitive coach, I would not turn anyone away, but I sure as heck would make sure that my BEST were all on one team. I love as a coach, that wrestling affords you this opportunity. No politics, no favoritism, etc. Just the best! Not sure how this is put together, but like I say, I compete to WIN. Period. Multiple teams are great, but a competitive team is the one that you want to hang your hat on. If you go to an " all star" event, make sure your stars shine. Just sayin.

    Flonationals updates

Congrats to all the KY guys who went and represented our state very well. To win just one match at Flo is a nice accomplishment. It will definitely get you noticed by college coaches. Congrats to Blackwell as well. Looks like he will be bringing home some hardware!

    Dapper Dan

Great video on Flowrestling, Who's #1 Crunch Time at 120 discussing Nathan Boston and his upcoming opponent at the Dapper Dan, who just won a PA State Championship at 126. They also discuss a few other highly anticipated match ups. Best of luck at the Dapper Dan Nathan! You know me and the family will be pulling for you!

Wildcat, you are one of the biggest s--t stirrers on this website. How about taking that spoon you stir with and shove it! Always trying to imply things without actually doing so. Rather than hiding behind what Flo says, come out and say what you think. Your post is classless. Your intent is clear. You want a reaction, well you got one. And when you respond to this, don't come on here playing innocent. You could have posted something quite different and chose not to. Your trash.

Shoulder to shoulder or not, doesn't matter. Nathan is top notch. Honestly, the better match would be teammate vs teammate, Boston vs Micic 3, the rubber match!! I'd pay big $$ to see that war!

    Kyle Lawson

Private, public, big, or small, it makes no difference. Success is only defined by the one trying to obtain it. If you have an able willing wrestler with a knowledgable coach, the wins will come. Any coach that says he doesn't care if his kid is a State Champ, is a liar. We all want our kids to succeed. Now, that being said, does that define success? In my opinion, no, it does not. If the kid we coach learns the value of hard work and learns to be more than he ever expected, now that's success. Values, that's what this whole country is missing. As far as transfers go, everyone's situation is different. Do I always agree with it, no. Do I sometimes understand it? Sure. Bottom line, if you don't agree with transfers, make sure you can coach a kid to beat them. I could blow the lid off this site with what I know about less than admirable coaches, parents, and wrestlers from multiple teams, but it's not my story to tell. Back on subject, once again, Congrats Kyle. Job well done.

    Kyle Lawson

Kyle is a beast in top, possibly as tough or tougher than Harrison Courntey was. Just nasty. Love his style of wrestling. Congrats Kyle!

    STATE FINALS

8798 for KHSAA head prez!! I believe that not only would he be an advocate of the sport, but he just may be able to instill some morals among us as well.
  13. Great point 8798. KY wrestling is definitely on the up swing. But unfortunately, until we can "scare" off other states' future champs, we have work to do. And let's not make this a David Carr thread. As it is, it is easy to use him as an example, but like you said, we don't know him or his family's situation. The best thing we can do as coaches, fathers, families, mentors is to continue to build on the success that we are currently having. It's all good to have rivalry within in our state, but we have to come together as a whole to gain the respect of our neighbors and the rest of the nation.

    Thanks to Isaac Knable

A classy post by a classy guy. Your sons are amazing, and I'm sure that you are a proud poppa! If you have to have a coach, why not a 4x State Champ. Congrats to the Lampes, Coach Knable, and St X.
  15. Ok, I have sat back and waited to weigh in on this. As a former wrestler that competed on the high school level as a 7th grader, to take away the right of a a middle school wrestler wrestling up stinks. If we do that, we truly need to go back to a 16 man State Tournament. Without middle school kids, we probably couldn't fill all of the brackets. Further more, if KY doesn't like middle school "transplants" moving in and winning our State championship, they had better step up and do something about it. Honestly, Carr is the only one that it has worked out for. The Lawson's and Mark Hall got sent home packing, just like they deserved. Carr from what I know, came down here and earned it. When you beat a defending State champ with national high school and D1 credentials by points, and not a pin, that's not a fluke. The kid earned it. And really, who knows about Carr? Maybe his Dad will be so happy with the education and instruction that he has received, that he will allow David to stay.

    State Observations

Thanks for clarifying Coach Brown. I remembered that the circumstance was a difficult one, but could not remember the details. Jordan seemed like a good kid too. It's ashame it didn't workout for him.

    State Observations

Wasn't there a state champ a few years back from Ballard that transferred in the off season to Trinity or X (can't remember which one it was) that was deemed intelligible and had to forfeit his senior year of eligibility? Not questioning Tyler eligibility at all. Just curious what makes one transfer ok and another one not ok.

    Post Season

I would just like to wish all the wrestlers and their coaches the best of luck this weekend. We may get on here and bicker amongst ourselves, but at the end of the day, I believe we all love Kentucky wrestling. We all want what is best for our sport. We proved this by banding together and letting our voice be heard to the KHSAA. Congrats to the kids, coaches, parents, and fans for MAKING this happen. I love the pre final celebration as much as the next guy, but if we need to "tone" it down a little to make sure we keep our spotlight on the finalist, then I will do my part to abide by the new rules, and help inform the fans. Sometimes you have to give a little to get a little. No toilet paper or beach balls in exchange for our best battling it out, one on one, under the lights, I'll make that deal. We can still have fun, let's just be courteous to others.

    Seeding State Tournament?

I feel ya man. My senior year, the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th place guys were all on the same side of the bracket.

    Region 6 Predictions

Well, with all of the politeness being tossed around on here, it ought to make for an interesting day. BTW, making fun of a lady's weight is a pretty crappy thing to do. I thought Mr Belk had a little class to him, guess I was wrong.
