After seeing our first competition of the year and starting to get weight assessments in, we updated girls rankings. There will definitely be more changes to come, but its shaping up a little. Again, this was put together by several coaches and just our best try, if we miss anyone or matches, please let us know.

They are coming. We wanted to get through Christmas break due to several girls events. Hopefully be done by end of the week, a lot of results to go through

Coaches, Corey Arthur Head Coach Mason County Wrestling 2nd year program I am reaching out in an attempt to drum up some Teams for 2 Home Dates. We can match up all 14 weight classes and have reserves 150-285 plus Middle Schoolers for Exhibition Matches or lower weights. 3 Female Wrestlers 190-235. We have Gym access and Officials lined up for both days but due to changes we now do not have anyone to fill the dates and really wanna capitalize on the openings to continue to build excitement around our program here at home. Jan 7th we have room for a Tri or Quad Dual Open to any and all Ideas. Jan 19th I'd like to do our Senior Night Quick Dual to get some Matches and spotlight for our 1 Senior. I understand the timing of this and that there are other events taking place on or around these dates so if your team can split or you have JV Teams, Middle School, (Even Youth later in the day) I am willing to get creative and flexible with the Jan 7th Date. IMPORTANT MESSAGE! From Khsaa and Kwoa: There has been a lot of confusion on the new rules on what can be on the headgear. I also was confused myself. I had contact Elliot Hopkins with the NFHS, and he set me straight. A head gear can have the following on it. 1.School logo any size. And /or 2.Manufacture’s Logo / Trademark 2 ¼” X 2 ¼” no more twice on the headgear. 3.The American Flag 2” X 3” No other saying or references are allowed. I have attached some samples.

Coaches, The headgear logo rule will NOT be enforced at the Middle School level. Keep in mind that those 7th & 8th graders that wrestle up once they walk into a high school event they will be subject to this rule. Jonathan Strayer KY USA president

Wanted to get a set of rankings out for the girls. We had 10 coaches from around the state help look over these and try to get them as good as we can. That being said, we used placement from last years state tournament, removed the seniors, added some with winning records last year, and adjusted for some weights where we have seen girls doing summer wrestling. If you have any info to help, feel free to let us know.

The KYWCA is taking nominations for its inaugural wrestler hall of fame class! We are taking nominations until Oct 15th. Once nominations are in, a commitee will vote to induct 10 wrestlers into the inaugural class. If you have a wrestler that graduated 2012 or before that you would like to nominate, please fill out the form below. There is a list of nominees on the form.
