You Know Your a Wrestling Dad When...............
neverdid replied to zaniac's topic in Youth Wrestling
You worry a lot about headgear and mouthpieces. -
As the father of a kid that wrestled much older and stronger kids his entire career because of his size I feel that I have an opinion based on living this experience. It was extremely difficult as a parent to watch your son get hammered daily for 4 years but he and I kept our mouths shut and stuck with it. He started having more success about three years ago until this year his hard work has paid off and he is now hammering instead of getting hammered. Wrestling is a long hard road, you cannot get caught up in the snapshots along the way.

Because of my sons size he regularly wrestled 5-8 graders as a third grader. He is ten times tougher now and better for it. Wrestling older kids not always bad.

oh yeah, last i checked those were not the STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS. LOL

Prove it with something other than your opinion. Oh wait you can't.

wondering if the participant names can be released? Would love to see. -
You may be wrong, you may be right. Comparing the present with the past will never be known 100% no matter what. Pure speculation.

It's actually OPRF. Oak Park River Forest high school in the Chicago suburbs. A huge school with over 3000 students.
