It looks like they seeded the head to head and went off records after that. That bracket has 7 qualifiers and 4 placers from last year. Lets not forget about the 2x Champion waiting to put it on anyone that steps on the mat with him.

What's the question at 170? It looks close to me, maybe flip the 5&6 seed. Outside of that what's the issue? Look out for Kiser he could finish top 3, kid is tough for being so young.

Because of horrible seeding criteria he got the 4th seed, when he is by far the 2nd best in the region. Got the 2 seed in semi state. (The 3 and 1 from the same region are on the same side) How a 28-1 wrestlers looses the 2 seed to an 18-8 wrestler who he never met is beyond me.)
The seeding for regionals in that weight class was correct. That weight had 3 state qualifiers and he didn’t have any head to head this year to look at. While I agree in the old system the forfeit would be the right call we can’t knock the 18-8 kid for wrestling a very tough schedule.

Region 3&4 113 only has 5 kids.

I think you have to look a little closer at 220. Orneals has wins over Brooksbank and Elliston. Savage has the head to head over Orneals and is 1-1 against Brooksbank. Elliston has a win over Savage.
-
With COVID he didn’t have a chance for head to head in the region. At semi state he has some head to head that should help him.
-
Just looking at 170 1&2, 3&4 look right. I think Kopp will get the 2 seed with his head to head. 7&8 is anyone’s guess. It could be 2 of 6 kids getting out. They have been beating up on each other all year.

Little would have to cut off a leg to make 170. Kid is huge. It will be easier for kids to go up because of the decent plan. I’m sure there will be a few seniors trying this to get out of semi state.

Looking at the information section on track it looks like something will be released Wednesday evening.

What are the big weight changes heading into regionals? I can see kids moving with the way semi state is set up.

Ranger's rankings all I did was make a couple weight adjustments and I noticed a match at 113. Outside of that it was cut and paste. Thank you Ranger for all the work you put in on these.

With the way semi state is being run I can see a lot of changes with kids trying to make it to state.

4 hours ago, ukpridewrestler11 said:Hopefully the week after state and maybe give an extra pound. Definitely something that would be incredible. There’s going to be 24 kids in each weight class not make it to state. So two weeks between wrestling, someone may gain a pound or two
You better give more than 1 pound. A lot of these kids look forward to eating after the state tournament.

A good way to look at the All "A" is compare it to State Duals. The All "A" is a small school champ and state duals is our team champ. Neither one is run by KHSAA.

1 hour ago, ukpridewrestler11 said:I went with top 10 to keep it simple. Also went with top 10 teams. Used Rangers latest rankings. "Miss State" is top 10 kids who will not make it to state. There is a big discrepancy between the "semi states". In the team breakdown, "make state" is top 10 kids on given team that are top two in the semi state. Outside qualifiers are kids who are ranked outside of the top ten but top 2 in their given semi state. St. X and Trinity lead the way with 3 kids each ranked outside of the top ten but qualifying for an 8 man state. Eli Mattingly-Neal (#18 @ 126) and Ayden Lehman (#24 @ 132) are some of the big ones that pop out. Lehman did wrestle 126 recently.
Kid that potentially won't qualify:
106: Hardin, Campbell, Raney, Matt
113: Teutsch, McKee, Griffith
120: Lattin, Benner, Stanley
126: Quintana, Tucker, Stull, Isaacs
132: Herron, Ross, Lewis, Nardelli
138: Stull, James, Andreoni, Johnson, Sproles
145: Bowers, Chapman
152: Phan, Grandstaff
160: Ketchen-Carter, Conrad, Hyden
170: Slayton, Baker
182: Riggins, Walls, McWilliams, Haggan
195: Adams, Whitehead, Hatchett
220: Boone, Elliston, Brooksbank, Leicht
285: Mooney, Arthur, SmithSome state champs, runner ups, multi time placers that are getting screwed. Some, it is their senior year. Way to go KHSAA
I see 2 state champs on the list of kids that would be sitting home if we went off the rankings. I can see Raney and Tom KC winning this year.

With a season full of duals who will be rolling this week? Any duals/matches to look forward to?
Ryle will take on Paducah Tilghman Saturday morning.

Ihpo in Indiana had split sessions. Big brackets staggered start times worked out good.
In the final session there will be less kids so bring everyone left back together because of wait times between matches. It can work just takes a little planning.- 1
