Does anyone know when all the photos from state will be posted to KHSAA's web site?
-
How can KHSAA make any money if it is streamed for free by wrestling fans? Good for everyone that did a live Stream for those that couldn't make it down or worse yet those that could not afford the $30 2 day pass and $10 worth of parking. Fight the system anyway you can!!!

Thank you!!!!

Sorry to disagree, but all any wrestler can do is wrestle the match in front of them. Everyone in the tournament earned their way in, I didn't see any free passes. While you may feel it was a cake-walk, they still had to win matches. Let's not take anything away from the hard work these young men have put into their craft.

That is great. I sure wish more schools would do this. Thanks for sharing!!!

Kentuckywrestling.com HS Rankings 2016/2017 - FEBRUARY 9
BadMadDad replied to Ranger123's topic in High School Rankings
The rankings are great to get people talking. While I may not always agree, I love seeing kids that out wrestle their individual rankings and beat the boys they "shouldn't". Great job to all of the underdogs! I am your biggest fan. RESPECT!!! -
very cool history lesson GOO. Thanks!

Also at 138 we have Boyd from Conner. He has had some big wins this year, including a win over Mardis (SK) and is also a returning State qualifier. I have to agree with the earlier post, 138 is going to be a grind for anyone that wins it, very deep class here in NKY.
-
Don't forget Coovert from Boone County, who won the conference at 138 or Murrer from Cov Cath. All told, there could be 3 very solid kids that miss state this year from 138.
-
Huston/Brown will be a great match.
-
What teams are going? Format?
-
Any early predictions? Who wins the team race? Anybody have a surprise wrestler/wrestlers that could win it?
-
My understanding is that while they are in our region, they are not part of the Conference. I may be wrong, if so, please correct me.

Boone County, Campbell County, Conner, Cooper, Dixie Heights, Holmes, Newport, Ryle, Scott, Simon Kenton. It is all the Northern Kentucky teams less Walton.
-
I was just talking about this with my son, I remember very few team tournaments back then. I like the idea of each team getting 5 matches as I remember many kids sitting around all day after going 2 and out.
-
SKIT was an 8 man bracket type. At least back in my day it was.
-
A couple old ones that I remember: 87-90 -Danville -Harrison County -Woodford -SKIT Not sure if these are still active beside Woodford.

Congratulations to Cody Huston for signing with the University of the Cumberlands. Best wishes for a great kid and awesome family.
-
awesome. Thank you.

How many pools?
-
What a great guy. I am so sorry to hear this.

I too am old enough to remember and wrestle at Atherton for state. Yes it was cramped, yes it was old, but that place had so much energy in it. I bet the old timers are with me on that fact.
-
I did not see that. If so, I'll make the change in the next one.
