The BC coach wasn't ejected. The ref didn't run to the locker room, he took the bout sheet to the head table to explain what happened. I'm not defending anyone or condoning any actions that took place. It was a bad situation on all fronts that I wished would've been avoided.

Will the blind draw take place tonight also?

Both Decks are awesome wrestlers. But I think IMO the older Deck is the best right now. The 70lb class at region wasn't very tough at all. While the older Decks class 86lb was stacked. I've watched them both wrestle 3 or 4 times and every time I come away saying both Decks are great but the older Deck just jumps out at me for some reason.

Any results posted for region 2 and 3?

It would be a heck of a match that I'd like to watch for sure.

I agree with most of that. But I believe 80 Purvis Elk can win gold, Shortridge JC Hvy can get on the podium and Baker 140 Mad also can place.

The kids at Region 4 that dominated their class. 70lb Thomas Deck 75lb Blue Fletcher 80lb Ricky Purvis 86lb Tylan Tucker 98lb Adam Bender 168 Blake Denny Kids that wrestled well but had some tough matches. 92lb Brandon Miller 105lb Jake Franklin 113lb Ryan Harrison 121lb Tyler Storck 140lb Blake Gamble Solid tourney with some good competition and great matches.

I'm not a big fan of the extra lb either. Shoot I'd rather it be straight base weight 70, 75 and so on with no growth allowance. I really dont like the growth allowance.

What age/grade levels will this be? Weight classes?

No doubt all these kids at 140 are great. I just dont see that Leavell, Smallwood and Biddix are on Gambles level. He's been wrestling a very tough varsity schedule and winning. He wrestle the #1 kid in WV High school at 138 to a 4-3 match (lost) and beat the #2 ranked kid in Wv. He has also wrestled top 10 ranked kids from Va and beat them. Kid is wrestling well right now and it will take an absolute monster to beat him. It can be done but they better bring their A game if they hope to pull a upset.

No doubt there is great wrestling at the bigger weights also. I just think you never know what you'll going to get out of the smaller, younger weight classes. Makes it fun to watch. While with the bigger, older weight classes you pretty much know what to expect. But I in no means was trying to take anything away from the other classes and the hard work these young men put in.

I think region 4 has a host of kids that can place this year. 70- T Deck 75- B Fletcher 80- R Purvis 86- Tucker, Stafford, Deck I think there's a great chance the champ comes from region 4 here 92- Brandon Miller, Bixler 98- A Bender could win it all 130- Begley 140- Gamble, Krueger 168- B Denny could win it all 190- R Karl 240- C Benton, Shortridge. I know I probably missed some kids but this is off top of my head. Region 4 could have a few champs this year.

I think 140 is Blake Gambles weight class to lose. He's been wrestling very very good competition and winning. I know Leavell and Smallwood are great wrestlers but I'm just not sure their on his level.

I'm right there with ya. I think Daylon Staftord has a heck of a chance at upsetting Tucker. He had to sit out the last 2 years with injuries and he is very hungry this year. He's wrestling very well and is very strong. It's going to be one heck of a class and I think 3 of the kids in that class medal at state. I think it will be a battle for the 4th seed out of this class. I think the top 3 are clear cut. Tucker, Stafford, and Deck. The 4th seed will be either Bradley Miller or Tyler Hudgins. I give a edge to Miller but not by much.it's going to be real fun Saturday.

We would have had more kids but McCreay County didn't get to make our districts. It was a little light but I guess everyone was but the looks of things.

Not 100% sure. We had 7 teams there. Johnson County, Martin Couty, McNabb, Harrison County, Ashland, Boyd, and Perry County. I'd say they were between 80/90 kids there. That's just a guess-ta-mation on my part. I know the lower weight classes had 4/5 kids in them which the classes 130-152 had 8/10 in them. But the 92 class just had 1 kid in it. Wonder what the numbers were like across the state?

District 8 weigh ins pushed back till 10:30 in the morning. Hoping everyone has safe travels tomorrow.

I hate that for the young men on your team. I hope something changes so they can make it. All kids who put in the hard work deserve to be able to wrestle when it counts. I know Johnson County was made to leave today at 1 before the weather hit. If they didn't they were told they couldn't go.

Region 4 will be held at Johnson Central High School. Middle School State will be held at Montgomery County High School if I'm not mistaken.
