It's like being in the Twilight Zone hearing about football coaches who discourage wrestling. Unless a kid plays basketball it's almost mandatory to wrestle in Pa and Ohio. Evidently football coaches are ignorant of wrestling.

No, I think he does. There is a definite anti-Smith bias out there. Has something to do with why Iowa and Okie State don't get along. What the Iowa fans did in booing Dake was inexcusable. What he did in response was priceless. Right call in the Stieber match. Oliver is excellent and will be back though.

Great idea to promote participation! However, the above info would have been nice to know before the series began.

Check out Vince Disabato's comments on Iowa and their fans over on Yappi. Stieber is the champ and deserves to be. Oliver should have worked the position, he didn't, despite having the time to do so. It was a great match.

1. The ref blew the call or; 2. The ref believed Stieber being locked around Oliver negated control of his legs. Either way it was a thrill and I'm glad the Bucks got another national champion.

Awesome link. I'd have listed the Caldwell dismantling of Metcalfe as number one. The Appalachian State 184 this year beating the top seed was great too.
