I've heard his name called, I've seen his name in the brackets but I still can't believe he is wrestling. that is one dedicated dude. This should be a story for all coaches to use when their team is complaining about conditioning.

113 is one of the toughest in region 6. With Moore, Wells, Castellano, the Scott kid, and Usleaman who are all top ten quality kids.

Number 18 Lonnie Usleaman beat the number 8 and number 11.

It seems that every year the quality of wrestling in Kentucky goes higher and higher. Inversely the quality of refs drops. Is there anything that can be done to get some higher quality refs here? The refs need match the skill if the wrestlers.

Should have stuck around those two yet to work out with me. He would have been a two timer. But in all seriousness he did a fantastic job and I'm very happy for. Way to go BUBBA!

Could it be possible to get businesses to sponsor awards for weight classes? Like Toyota presents the awards for the 285 weight class.

The reason the medals are so small is because of Title IX. Everything has to be the same for every sports I that's why the small medals. Could it be possible to get businesses to sponsor the awards that way we could blow up the size if the medals?

Exactly. If the right calls are made for against who I want I can't argue. But when the wrong calls are made regardless it make me angry

Let's give it up for the region 6 boy representing in the finals. Brandon Johnson had a tremendous tournament pinning the whole way through. Hard to believe it was the same kid I wrestled as a senior. Nick Sinclair works his tail off to meet him in the finals. And because of my extreme bias I do wish the match had been closer but I can't get mad at a kid doing his job! Congrats Brandon! From one HWT state champ to another.

This might have been the most wrong Ranger has ever been. Not to say he doesn't know what he is talking about, just that this year was full of surprises. HWT was a huge surprise, Carr beating Blackwell was awesome, Eli Matthews in the finals, tucker mueller not making the podium, this had to be one of my favorite state tournaments ever. (Besides the '12 season)

Well I'm already working on that. And I agree you shouldn't let the red decide the match. However, I saw a lot of calls be made wrong or not at all. For example I watched an OT match where a st. X kid was behind the other wrestler and the other kid put his hands on the mat. That should have been a takedown to win but the ref never called it and let them continue. St. X lost the match and was cheated.

Yeah I'm excited for the report. Ranger123's work is always great. Except for that time he got me wrong lol.

If I'm still right the order for places in HWT BASED ON RANKING are 1,3,2,4,6,9,10,11

If I didn't make a mistake it seems that a lot of HWTS didn't qualify this year out of the top 15 ranked only 11 made it. Hopefully this mean the competition has gotten better but it's probably just the class. That being said the two side of the bracket are very uneven. 1,2,5,6,7,8,11 are one one side with just 3,4,9,10 on the other. This will make placing interesting.
