This club is for all ages. We encourage younger kids to come out and see the work and dedication it takes to compete at the national level. Practices will be seperated based on specific needs of each wrestler. For example we would like to run two practices: 1. an open mat setting/technique 2. Nationals training (more live matches, sharkbait, and intense conditioning in preparation for Flo and Virginia Beach). An idea for the first practice is at the end have those that are training for Nationals have a live match then have the coaches critique the match for the younger, less experienced wrestlers (much like a Q & A session). Unique methods such as these benefit not only the wrestlers training but the observing kids as well. Being able to analyze and discuss high level wrestling is crucial and can be a beneficial experience for those less experienced/younger participants. Let's start [glow=red,2,300]NOW[/glow] developing a list of competitors for Flo Nationals. A very solid group went last year and we are looking to improve on the turnout from Kentucky this year. If you are interested post on this thread.

The Goldsmith Wrestling Club (located at Seneca High School) has just had it's club membership renewed. The club will be ready to go Monday March 1st. As of right now open mat will be 6:00-8:00 Mon/Wed, unless notified otherwise. These times frames will be dedicated towards those preparing for Virginia Beach; I encourage anyone in the Louisville area and those outlying to attend the club so that we can represent Kentucky Wrestling effectively in late March. In order to participate you must have a USA wrestling card, which can be purchased online at www.usawrestling.org for around $30. We have tremendous talent in this state so lets prepare like we never have before in the past. Yes State is over, but for those of you planning to go your season hasn't ended. If you are an underclassmen you will NEVER get a more rewarding opportunity than to go to Virginia Beach. Good luck with training the next couple of weeks.
