Up to this point i have really enjoyed reading all of the topics on this website. but to have people bashing another kid like most of you have done with Kyle Durbin is truely unacceptible. This young man has worked his A$$ off, he went to 215 for the challenge. not because he was too lazy to lose weight. sounds like there are some sore losers out there that took for granted themselves or their teammate was going to walk away with the 215 title. As far as cheating, BIG LAUGH. we could make a list of the wrestlers and teams that fake injury to stop from getting pinned. If you don't like the outcome of the tournament the easiest way to change it is stop whining and do something about it. but until then don't bash another kid for their hard work and talent

I might be alone on this one but I think 215 is going to be the best matches of the tournament this weight class can go in so many directions. There are a lot of good matches and tough matches from the beginning rounds. No clear cut favorite in my eyes.

I don't know if it's the right name but I am thinking there is a place called the Cheesery. they have sandwiches and my son says they are pretty good and affordable.

Completely agree. I sent an email to the KHSAA regarding this issue and no big surprise never recieved a response. Some families just can't afford to spend that kind of money in a weekend. plus for the majority of us the traveling expenses are cheap either. Hopefully, parents will really starting speaking up and start getting something done. Good luck to everyone wrestling.

I think the JV tourny is just that... JV. your bigger teams should have plenty of varsity kids to help them with their state duels. The purpose of the JV tournament is to give those kids that are on a high school team the chance to compete against kids at the same level they are on. give them some experience that some may not get because they have to compete with varsity kids for weight classes. The Tourny is at a good time. Hope nothing changes for next year

where is this being held. and when

the overlooking came from the the rankings prior to wrestling at state. The only reason I said he was overlooked was because they had a kid who wasn't even wrestling ranked and Evan not. Evan didn't have a great year but 1st year back in two years and making state was a pretty big accomplishment. thought it should have been recognized. it should be recognized for anyone making state. even if its ranking everyone in the weight class. gives the boys a goal to see their name and know what they have to do to get better. Its called motivation. Yeah, how was he overlooked? i beat him first round.. i only wrestled since regional duals this year and wrestled 189 because we didnt have one, only weighing 166.

Frankfort is a great place. I think the concessions really turned a lot of people off this year. The boys love Frankfort and no one has an extremely long trip. I think it should stay but GET A BETTER FOOD VENDOR.

Just heard from my better half and the only thing i can report is that it's going to be a long night. they have been wrestling since 2 and they just announced bout 60. wish i had more info but this is all i have.

I know that the khsaa.org is going to be updating the brackets at the end of each round. unfortunately, I don't know of anyone else with info. I know they are going to have a live feed for th championship matches saturday. wish they did that for the other two days
