I can't wait to see Clay Brown and Joey Parrot get at it again. Also would like to see Lampe vs Brock, i know Lampe is bigger but i think that would be a great match.
-
That depends on who's on the team.
-
did Fahy end up going?

Thanks for the update Coach C

haha, I love the way CC people air their dirty laundry on this site.

Kaiser said he wants some of Ceron!

Cooper Wins 8-5. Flo website crashed right before it started so we never got to watch.

Cooper pins in the second period in the quarter finals.

I don't understand why Oliver was not awarded the takedown at the end of the match. He had both legs covered and Stieber was on his butt, this position is called a takedown 9 times out of 10 if it was on the out of bounds line but refs don't call it when inbounds, why is that? If you have both feet when the guy goes out of bound the ref calls that a takedown but wont do inbounds? I have always wondered this, am i missing something here or are the refs just calling it like that because that's the way it's always been called. I looked it up in the rule book and this is what i found.... Section 26 Takedowns....Art.2… A takedown shall be awarded when one or both knees of the defensive wrestler are touching the mat beyond reaction time or when the defensive wrestler’s legs or torso are controlled and the majority of the weight is supported by the hands. Ther are pictures in the rule book that show those positions in a picture and say it's a takedown... Page 61 of the 2009-2010 rule book.

Dake is a good wrestler but the most boring to watch, the kid can ride but not turn. Is there something that says you have to cover the hips in the middle of the mat, but only have to cover the ankles on the out of bounds line? This is what I have the real problem with, I would like to see this in the rule book if that is in fact the rule.

No body lock negates control of the legs page 61 of the rule book.... Blown call

Chamblee didn't qualify last year, he got 5th at regions. This was his first state tournament.

The KY national lineup is looking good!

State Pick-em’s Name of the game is to pick champions for each weight class and give them points based on most likely to least likely. There will also be some bonus points for picking the winning team as well as picking a wild card. The one with the most points at the end has bragging rights, sorry no cash or gifts unless there is someone out there that wants to donate? Point system: Assign a number 1-14 to each champion, if they win you get those points. Picking the winning team is worth an additional 5 points. Wildcard = pick a wrestler that is ranked low and if he places high you get the difference in points. i/e if someone is ranked 12th and places 5th you get 7 points. My picks: 14 John Fahy 13 Kevin Cooper 12 JJ Jude 11 Bernard Ray 10 Garth Yenter 9 Jayce Carr 8 Stephen Myers 7 Trae Blackwell 6 Mike Whalen 5 Tj Ruschell 4 Austin Myers 3 Mason Franck 2 Brent Hitchings 1 Sam Preston Wild Card: Hiero Chamblee 170 ranked 15th Team: Campbell County (hate to say it)

Yea Ranger put out new rankings after i created this thread and decided to bump Chamblee up from 15 to 11th so that changed things, only thing that didn't change was that fanofwrestling wins either way.
-
is that really the point difference for the Myers boys?

I love the "Animal House" festivities that go on. We don't have to be like every other state, boring, that's what makes it so cool.
-
Yes, very well ran tournament and a great place to have regions at.
-
I'm assuming a Bachman got beat out in a wrestle off?... Shame, he's wrestled for CC all year and Myers hasn't even wrestled one match for them. I don't see how a wrestler can represent a team in the post season who hasn't even wrestled a match for them in the regular season....crazy!

Couldn't agree more!

Ohiowrestler: I can see how the surveys would be about who you like or dislike but thats part of pooling multiple surveys from every coach to see if there are any common complaints/occurances about the way they are reffing. Thats great that the regional meetings are already in place, and glad to have you on the better side of the river. trithis: I understand that the longer you do something the better you get but formal feedback would speed the process up....basically a performance review of some sort.
